That's a no-brainer, of course they would be. I like the new songs though, but if they had Jon's 90's voice it would be killer. That's why I wish they hadn't taken any kind of break, had gone straight into the studio after the last tour whilst Jon's voice was warmed up, and cut the record then.

I think 'Work For The Working Man' might return soon.

If you want the "Work For A Working Man" groove you'd be better off listening to "Living on A Prayer" and "Undivided".

I was joking.

But I actually do think this song is more likely to return than the likes of 'I'd Die For You', sadly.

Richie's solo tour seems to have got him back in the groove though, and at long last.

Jon currently is having some sort of issues - whether vocally, confidence, sickness, I don't know. I've no doubt they'll work them out.

The Lost Highway record has as much Jon as Richie, Jon always talks about how Richie and he started writing songs in an hotel room and how magical was that. Also, I believe that Lost Highway is a great piece of art, might not be rock, but it have feeling and passion and that's something the new tracks are missing.

I'm talking about the bigger picture here, Jon has control over everything they do, and Richie being incapable? Have you listened to Richie's new record that came out last year? He's capable, things are the way Jon wants them to be. Anyway, I digress, I'm talking about the band and the songs, the post 2000 ones, the performances, everything. The man himself said that he still had the problem that he wrote the songs in a high key and he couldn't sing them, that leads me to believe the man writes the anthems, he loves the big vocal epic songs, but he can't deliver, that's why when you down-tune an epic anthem it sounds like shit. They never where Radiohead or any other band with brilliant lyrics, yeah they shone here and there but that wasn't their strength.

Anyway, live, as a performer, I imagine you don't wanna strain your voice in each freaking song you play. His fault could be that he isn't choosing the best post 2000 easy-to-sing material.

But if he was confident on his voice or if he didn't give a shit about the vocal delivery, he would sing Santa Fe every night.

I honestly believe he has 0 confidence in his voice anymore. That's why most of the passionate performances we link here each day are on a good-voice day for Jon, he feels confident and he gets in the zone. Examples would be I believe from lisbon, Roses from frankfurt, etc.

I'm not buying that. Richie collaborates as much as he wants, if there's few richie on this record is because he didn't give much of a ****. Also, Aftermath isn't the record of the year, yes, it have some good tracks but it's far from being a great record that shows how capable Richie is, I don't think that it's better than The Circle and you guys know what I think of that record.

And yes, I agree with you, Jon doesn't believe in his voice anymore. He should take some singing classes to earn some confidence or do a tour with smaller venues, so he won't be afraid to **** up and can sing rare songs.

lol, are you serious?

Geez, if I never hear that song again, it would be too soon.

eta: Never mind, I read in one of your earlier posts, that you were, of course, joking.
