The last time Bon Jovi played Buffalo was on January 26, 2006. The only surprise in the set was I Want To Be Loved.

2 graphs showcasing the order of album and single tracks. A peak indicates the chart position in the Billboard Hot 100, thus a crowd possibly knowing such a song. The more peaks, the more familiar a crowd is with the entire set. In case no peak is noted the song either didn't chart or wasn't released as a single.

The first graph is of this show, the second one is of the previous time Bon Jovi played University Park:

I really like that Have a Nice Day Tour setlist. Probably because there are no Lost Highway duds, nor Circle duds like When We Were Beautiful or Work for the Working Man. Plus, it has about a million times better flow than the current sets they're doing.

Spidey5150 02-24-2013 05:40 PM

I was at that show, and it was great. Both shows I've been to in Buffalo, in 2003 and 2006 were loads of fun, regardless of the lack of rarities played. The show in 2003 was my first Jovi Show and I absolutely loved every single minute of it. Songs 13-15 in that set listed were all acoustic/TFLR, unfortunately. Considering both shows were sell outs I'm somewhat surprised they skipped out on a return trip for the past 7 years. Of course since they haven't been this will give Jon an excuse to play material off of LH and The Circle b/c it's "new" to us. You know, b/c otherwise he's generally so restrained in peppering them in. I'm going tonight, and regardless of the less than stellar sets we've seen thus far, I'm ecstatic. It's going to be a good night.

I'm sure it will be. Enjoy the show!

I remember making the drive to Buffalo on the HAND tour!! I loved that show and I had the worst seat, waaay back in the arena in the corner, lol!! But, even with the crap seat and not a stellar set list, I still enjoyed it.

Who Says was acoustic?

O. Not so much. My bad - lol - I meant 14-16, i.e. IBTFY, Glory, Roses

ezearis 02-24-2013 11:18 PM

Wow, the 2006 one was a hell of a setlist. I'd take down the two covers and add more Jovi songs, though.

Keep in mind that the bar doesn't show that 2 songs of This Left Feels Right were played. The I'll Be There For You - Blaze Of Glory - Bed Of Roses section was very toned down and very dull. That set looks good now compared to what the band is currently playing but back then it was deemed rather poor.

Couldn't agree more. Really the only song that adds anything to their live show since is WGIGO (and it kills me to admit that).

The only mistake on the HAND tour is the TLFR versions of IBTFY, BOG, and BOR/A.

That's true, i forgot about the TLFR songs. That take some points of the setlist, but, hit me, I like the Bed of Roses and I'll Be There For You TLFR versions. I'd be happy to listen them live at least once.

micro cuts 02-24-2013 11:48 PM

I've just checked the buffalo setlist of bounce tour, I don't have any idea about the band's mood but setlist seems really good also because I'm a big fan of the album bounce

Spidey5150 02-24-2013 11:50 PM

Is anybody else from these parts going? I'm about to head downtown to grab a few drinks beforehand. I'm very pumped and I'm only going to become more pumped :D

Kazyyy12 02-25-2013 12:04 AM

Predictions for tonight--I'm With You and Superman Tonight

ezearis 02-25-2013 12:06 AM

I predict a The More Things Change + at least 3 The Circle songs + at least 3 LH songs.

Yvonne 02-25-2013 12:16 AM

Work For The Working Man will probably be on again tonight...

Don't say this. Don't even think it. Let's hope it went over poorly last night, and Jon gets the hint.

It will pop out, Jon haven't played since the HAND tour there, so they're going to play stuff from Lost Highway and The Circle, Work For The Working Man is the most likely to appear.

Hope it doesn't, though. That song is a sad copy of Livin' On A Prayer.

LeaJovi 02-25-2013 12:42 AM

Tonight, we will have Dry county.

I'd be way more satisfied with Amen. Unlike most on here, I kinda like it.

Oh, both are terrible but Amen at least is a breath of fresh air.. I don't mind the new songs if they replace songs like woking man.

KeepTheFaith2211 02-25-2013 01:42 AM

'Blaze Of Glory'. Bring it back, man!

Spidey5150 02-25-2013 01:45 AM

When have doors been opening? Line seems yo be moving now, but I showed up right at 6:30 and there was a line outside stretching 3 blocks

Shit, I didn't even clock that this was even missing from the recent set lists.

I needs to be a staple. The fact IML and Captain Crunch get played over Blaze is downright criminal.

Totally agree. It's a song from the 90s which they still do justice today, too.

Sergey 02-25-2013 02:24 AM

I think that today it's time to play Always! I think many will agree with me!

Spidey5150 02-25-2013 02:40 AM

This place is packed and I don't just think it's the fact that I'm buzzed that senses there's a buzz in the air. Everyone here is ready to go. BJ would really have to lay a brick to disappoint them. Well, me at least. And I have no predictions to make. I think it'll be standard fair with no big surprises, which I've already accepted and am fine with. I'd love love love to hear Love's The Only Rule, but doubt it'll happen

I heard this in 2010, here in Rio.

Man...it was a gorgeous experience.

Yes, but the version they played in Rio was shit. They didn't do the extended OOOH's and the extra chorus at the end, which is what made this song so good live.

Sergey 02-25-2013 03:15 AM

1. You Give Love A Bad Name

LeaJovi 02-25-2013 03:17 AM

Hey guys, since Love's the only rule is the best song of the circle, at least to me, could someone link me the best live rendition?

Have to check youtube, but the earliest outings of that song were some of the best in my opinion.

This one, while vocally I don't quite like it, Jon seems so into it. It seems that it's the song he feels the most from the record

Sergey 02-25-2013 03:22 AM
