If people honestly think their music is up to the standards of their music in the 90's they are dillusional.

That strongly depends on how you define good song-writing. I for one think a song like Walk Like A Man is really great song-writing, good stories with a deeper meaning told well, accompanied by good music.

A song like You Give Love A Bad Name for example, while one of their biggest hits, is just immature compared to that - maybe more fun but nothing deeper to take from it ;)
