No Asia Dates Once Again?
And by Asia, I mean not just Japan.
Aerosmith is coming to the Philippines this May. Bon Jovi was here twice in the past, so wondering if any of you got news about it? And if you have, please post it here. MANY THANKS! |
They haven't announced anything past Europe, bud.

I don't know what happened to their love to Japan. There were 8 shows in 2003, 6 in 2006, 4 in 2008, 2 in 2010 and 0 in 2011.
Do they sell less in Japan or did they become less popular over there? Maybe playing 6 shows in arenas would be better than insisting on Tokyo Dome and stadiums. Japanese shows used to be special but the last ones were far from special. I hope the love wasn't ended because of the financial crisis and just simply money.. |
Aloha !

When Jon found out he could do 6 stadium shows in Australia instead of 4 arena shows in Japan, the decision as to what was financially more interesting was quickly made. 1 stadium shows raises about the same money as 3 arena shows. Therefore, in 2010 2 stadium stages were brought over. One was shipped to Japan and build up in Tokyo, and the other was shipped to New Zealand. This way they were able to do 11 stadium shows in less than a month, which raised money for which Jon needs to do 30 arena shows in the U.S.A. Needless to say, Eastern Europe is getting more and more interesting nowadays, and I expect them to cover more than just Australasia and Japan. I wouldn't worry too much about there not being any shows there. :) Salaam Aleikum, Sebastiaan |

@Supersonic, you said a few years back there were rumors on a Singapore tour but never happened, and that Philippines was one of the countries in talk. Do you have any idea for this current tour? |
