The last time Bon Jovi played St. Louis was on May 22, 2011. The setlist contained 3 surprises; Last Man Standing opened the show, I'll Sleep When I'm Dead contained Taking Care Of Business, which was picked by Phil X, and Dry County opened the encore. Richie was still out boozing to forget about the dreadful American crowds though it was the last show Phil X would play with the band before Richie returned to the band and kick ass to audiences he did care about.

Now that we've had some entertainment already, let's have a look at the graphs.

A graph showcasing the order of album and single tracks. A peak indicates the chart position in the Billboard Hot 100, thus a crowd possibly knowing such a song. The more peaks, the more familiar a crowd is with the entire set. In case no peak is noted the song either didn't chart or wasn't released as a single.

I mean to say this everyone you start a show thread and I never remember. Your graph concept, while good in theory, is flawed because of the changes that have been made to the billboard chart in the last twenty years ( first from the addition of AirPlay only songs in the late 90's, and later by digital music services.) A casual US Bon Jovi fan is much more likely to be familiar with Misunderstood, Have A Nice Day, Lost Highway, We Weren't Born To Follow, Superman Tonight, What Do You Got, or Because We Can (because of their VH1 exposure and play on radio stations that appeal to the US Bon Jovi demo) than they are TAALS or LIS. And that's not even counting IML, WAYCGH, and MaM, which are obviously more well known though they charted lower.

It's a lot less flawed than you're making it out to be, and they indicate the flow of a show quite well. There are a few exceptions here and there such as We Got It Goin' On or Raise Your Hands, but on most occasions it works. And you're overrating the knowledge of the average casual fan. The exposure of a song on Twitter or Facebook won't change a thing in the bigger picture as not many 40+ year olds spend their time on Facebook watching 4 different videos for a lead single that's been tanking for weeks. Down the line it's still the radio that'll dictate if he's ever heard it as Bon Jovi have made it nearly impossible for 15-20 year olds to attend their shows. They've flat out outpriced them.

I think tonight's expectations are summed up by the fact that BJ Twitter account are pointing people towards the app to purchase the album and get 2 free tickets to tonight's gig!!!
Evidently struggled to sell tickets for it then.....

Predictions for tonight are I'd Die For You, If I Was Your Mother, and Lie to Me. No, seriously.

Oh seriously? Don't have any predictions. Hopefully Hey God isn't out of the cards yet. April 16th is such a long time away...

One of the best Bon Jovi concerts I ever attended was in this venue in 2000. It was an amazing show and Jon started an extra encore of Never Say Goodbye when the band was leaving the stage. I'm not a huge fan of that song, but it WAS great to hear it live since it's such a rarity. That was also the first concert where I heard I'll Be There for You so that was a real highlight for me. I hope tonight's show is as good as that one was. Sure wish I could be there!

Time to bring 'Blaze Of Glory' back.

Actually I bet the seats left are back of the stage but I'm not 100% as TM isn't selling tickets now as it's too close to the show. I think it's more about moving records vs poor attendance as this location is typically fairly popular for Jovi as they don't do a lot of midwest shows.

I wasn't saying it's seriously flawed or anything. Just that going solely by the Billboard charts doesn't give a full picture of what an audience of casual American Bon Jovi fans are going to be familiar with.

It's unforgivable that it's not a staple.

My prediction for tonight is that we hear a new song performed for the first time, hopefully Pictures of You or Beautiful World, and that one dropped WAN song returns so either What's Left of Me or Army of One

It truly should be a staple in the list but then the whole if Jon is allowed to sing a solo song, why not Richie comes out. So I think, that is why they dropped it.

I very much agree that 'Blaze Of Glory' should be a staple.

Richie however should never do a solo song at a Jovi show again, on account of them being 90% sub-standard.

And you know he'd probably pick 'Sugar Daddy' anyway.... so be careful what you wish for....

Blaze being my favourite song ever it should be in every set. Whether it was originally a Jon song or not it eclipses anything Richie has ever done, especially in terms of reaching a wide audience.

I was just thinking today that I wish Blaze was back in the set. It should be there, especially in North American shows.

Yes, how about What's Left of Me? They played it at the first few shows, and then I heard it sound checked in Nashville. My favorite on the new album.

I hear ya and agree. I don't understand but it was said before when they used to sing Blaze. Jon gets his song, why not Richie.

Because Blaze is ace and Richie's songs are pap. Mystery solved.

I'm super glad Raise Your Hands has stuck as the 2nd song. It was the boost that the first part of the set needed.

I'd take this so far set. Although, I could go the rest of my life not hearing Whole lot of Leaving and We Got it going on and be 100% okay with that.

So the main set will have 21 songs ... That's a big main set !

I 'd like to see more than 4 new songs in the set, considering LH still gets 4-5. Outside of that these setlists have really improved in general. Hopefully Dry County pops up soon.
