I was at this show last night. The band were incredible and the energy emitted from the audience was aptly strong. I sat on the second row outside of the circle so this may influence my assessment, but man, the band put on a fantastic show. Imo, the only song that fell flat on its face was When We Were Beautiful, and I think Jon knows it too (it just doesn't do much for anybody live).

Out of all new songs, Amen received the greatest reception. I was actually quite surprised to see how the crowd was enjoying the new material. I sure wish more tracks were played from What About Now. Both Jon and the band were in great spirits. I didn't catch a glimpse of grumpy Jon whatsoever. During Bad Medicine, I even got to high-five the man haha. His voice even seemed less nasal than usual, which is something I was very thankful for.

Those who say that We Got It Goin On should be dropped don't know what the hell they're talking about. That song grabs the audience by the balls and lights a match right under its ass. People just ate that shit up. Having said that, it is clear to me that Jon's body doesn't move the way that it used to. However, to be honest, it didn't take much away from the show.

Overall, it was a very good effort. The crowd was cheerful and the song selection worked very well with the Oklahoma audience. It goes to show that what you see on paper does not tell the full story. Anyways, I'll be seeing them again in Dallas!

Sounds like you had a great time and the band was really into it! Please let us know how the Dallas show compares (I'd love to go to that show myself ---- if only!)

Here is my Bad Medicine from OKC... watch it from the solo on (roughly 2:45 on). One of my favorites... and pretty damn funny. It was a good moment... no autopilot on this one.

Wow - that was fantastic! Jon was certainly no statue when I saw the Cleveland show a couple of weeks ago...but the only time he/Richie used the catwalk was the acoustic set. This performance appears much more active/less rehearsed than some of the video we've been seeing.

This was the first clip I've seen from this tour where he's using it at another point in the show...that's really great to see. My seats for that last show were the first row behind the catwalk and I was bummed they didn't utilize it more. Maybe that will change as the tour progresses.

I don't know... he didn't use it much on the Circle/GH tour either (other than the 2/3 songs mid-set). I wish he and Richie would use it more... there is no reason not to.

That's true - so maybe just false hope on my part. Kind of a shame to use it only during the slower/acoustic set and not a few 'high energy' songs where they could really engage the crowd and get everyone revved up!
