They played it once on tour as well. I think in Oslo in 2008 after it had rained all day and the sun came out shortly before the show.
But the sun was has been shining all day long in Berlin today :D Jon may see it as a metaphor for Obama arriving in our capitol though (actually pretty much at the same time as the shows usually begin).

Judging from a pic on facebook, posted over an hour ago, they played Runaway or Sleep very early judging by Jon's guitar.
Besides that the venue they're playing in - the Waldbühne - is a bit away from population so people might be struggling to get a decent connection.
