Songs Jon has made appearances on?
At this point I'm convinced that I have everything that has become available in some way. Every studio and live cover song, B-Sides, Demos, obviously all the songs on each album. I bet I have stuff that some people might not even know is available.
Anyway, to complete my collection I want to come up with a compilation mix of all songs Jon made guest appearance on. Kinda like snippets of all his parts on each song. I'll fade in 10 seconds before Jon's vocal and fade out 10 seconds after. I just need help with a list. I know there is a topic out there on JoviTalk but I can't find it. Examples: Alice Cooper's album Trash, one of Cinderella's albums, the Everybody Hurts charity compilation.... |
Jon and Richie sang back up on Cher's - We all Sleep Alone and I think they wrote it for her.
Jon wrote Sometimes its a Bitch for Stevie Nicks. Now I could be wrong and misunderstood this but didn't Jon write a song for Hall and Oats?? I'm positive I heard that. Its around the time of Stevie's song |
Jon and richie performed celluloid heroes with ray davies on his see my friends album

They also wrote Hell Is Living Without You for Trash (Alice Cooper), but I don't think there's Jon singing (even background) on that - could be Richie on guitar though... |

There's no complete list around, but I'm building one. Jon and Richie have done more guest appearances than what people are aware off, but surprisingly most of them have been on album tracks or singles from relatively unknown acts. Salaam Aleikum, Sebastiaan |

But in regards to this topic, what you stated above is exactly what Im looking for. A list of songs Jon and Richie lent vocals to. Aldo Nova is a big one. Alice Coopers Trash is another etc. How far along with this list are you now? |
Aloha !

1986: Stevie Nicks -Sometimes It's A Bitch (Jon on acoustic guitar) 1993: Paul Rodgers - Good Morning Little School Girl (Part 2) (Richie lead guitar) 1995: Horizontal Ladies Club - God Is A Girl (Richie on backing vocals) 1995: Horizontal Ladies Club - Nowhere To Cry (Richie on lead guitar) 1995: Horizontal Ladies Club - Unprotected (Richie on guitars) 1995: Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul - The Time Of Your Life (Richie on guitar and backing vocals, David on piano, Tico on congas and Hugh on bass) 1998: Chris Ledoux - Bang A Drum (Jon on lead vocals) 1999: Amanda Marshall - If I Didn't Have You (Richie on lead guitar) 1999: Various Artists - It's Only Rock And Roll (Jon on lead vocals) 2000: Amanda Marshall - Why Don't You Love Me (Richie on lead guitar) 2000: Willie Nelson - Always On My Mind (Jon on lead vocals, Richie on acoustic guitar and backing vocals) That's bits and pieces of what I've got so far, I haven't really archived anything yet. There's more stuff, some of it uncredited as well I reckon like Clapton didn't get credited for Mr. Bluesman. Salaam Aleikum, Sebastiaan |
Great idea. Though the Stevie Nicks song was 1991, not '86.
