La Plata it´s a great venue for rock gigs IMO

I had the chance to see Aerosmith and Guns N Roses there, and the sound was powerfull and good. It´s way better than Velez.
But La Plata hasn´t the capacity and the safe access that River has. That´s why mega concerts like ACDC, Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Paul McCartney, Metallica had place in River

Crue weren't bad by all means (and the drumset rollercoaster was by far the biggest wow moment i've ever witnessed on any show), but as stated before Vince can't sing to save his life and after a while his voice became awfully annoying. the Leps had a somewhat slow start, but they picked up pretty fast. it wasn't mindblowing but it was a pretty decent show. shame you left after 2 songs, we got Gods Of War & Women. back to back too :) that said, the most exciting band of the night were Steel Panther, hands down. they were funny, enthusiastic and they sounded especially good.

i wouldn't mind seeing the Leps with Bon Jovi, yet there's something about that image that doesn't feel right to me. even though i'd probably be ecstatic if that was ever to happen.

Well, Jon apparently performed with Joe during a song on Jon's solo outing with The Kings of Suburbia the other day...that's probably the closest we're going to get. I also heard that no video is up of this performance because it was a private event for Avon (it was the second night of the solo show; vids are all over the place on YouTube for the first night). Figures. I would have liked to have heard them sing together.

Crazy "Die Hard" of each band would balk at this idea, thinking that their favorite band is above this and better than the other (Bon Jovi is more relevant than Def Leppard, they just released a great new album! Def Leppard rocks harder than Bon Jovi even though the drummer has only 1 arm!), but that's all bollocks. It will be heaven for those who love melodic rock, never mind those who are big fans of both bands like me.
