Bon Jovi radio already getting...

...repetitive. So far I haven't heard anything really "cool". All the live songs are either from "OWN" or the "Special Editions". I hear a lot of box set songs and of course hits.....and the "Lay Your Hands On Me" radio edit, which I hate. Was kinda hoping for something similar to E Street Radio. You really hear song cool rare stuff. I guess Bon Jovi radio is fun, but there hasn't been anything I dont have or cant get on Amazon. Did I miss something cool?

Yeah, it's pretty lame. I've heard a couple live rarities, but I've also heard Bed of Roses, Bad Medicine and Never Say Goodbye more times than I care to in my life. And I'm only in the car for about 45 minutes each day.

I barely listen to it, yet somehow I've heard 7/10 7800 songs. Mus be my curse. Anyway, it can be a bit repetitive.

I listen when I'm driving which varies from day to day, but isn't that much lately. I think I've heard Never Say Goodbye 16 times. But I refuse to change the station in case the next song is something good.

I'm enjoying the little interview snippets. I've only heard Jon and Richie though. I was hoping for something from Tico or Dave as well. One interesting thing Richie said was that they both write lyrics and music and that they were at the same skill level of songwriting when they got together which is one of the things that made it work. I think all the clips of Jon I've heard are from his Town Hall interview.

I think they loop a set of songs for each day and then switch it for the next, but always play the It's My Life's plenty of times either way.

I have heard some forgotten songs and some rare stuff, but for some reason they consider Lay Your Hands on Me almost as relevant as It's My Life, which I really don't understand. It just isn't that good.

Truthfully, this was obviously a pretty lazy marketing gimmick that required no effort from either party. Jon's comments are really all just edits from that really really short and lame Town Hall interview and the fast-facts about the band are ones that even most non-fans already know. Nothing from Tico or Dave or from unique odd interviews of the past or on the road. No guest hosts or commentary or shows or odd bits from behind the scenes or sound engineers or roadies or anything unique like that.

Still, I like most of the music so I have it on a good amount and hope they keep it for a long time.

QUESTION: I heard a Bon Jovi version of Fourth of July. I didn't know (or have forgotten) that the band had a studio version of this. Where was this from? Heard it on the station a day or two ago.

Do you mean Miss Fourth of July, because that was on the boxset.

You mean Miss Fourth of July? It's from the Box Set. In fact, that's the only studio version of the song.

Beavoid 04-03-2013 07:21 AM

I had remembered that being sung by Richie...I guess I will have to dust off that box set!

steel_horse75 04-03-2013 03:04 PM

I cant think of nothing worse (musically) than listening to the same band day after day

Pstmatt 04-03-2013 06:09 PM

Oddly enough I heard "Dirty Little Secret" used as a background music for one of the promos in between songs today. Maybe they should, ya know, play it. At least that could be considered rare or cool.
