if you could choose anything?

Something that pays a hell of a lot more than what I make now.

Maybe a vet.

Journalist. I want to be one. More than anything.

But it won't happen, so let's move on!

I am looking for a new career path, i need more input!

I'd love that. But then, how many scripts would you have to right before one of them gets accepted? Pretty stressful.

Look at what you're interested in, but don't forget to consider what will get the bills paid. Doing something you love won't be very fulfilling for long if you're struggling to meet basic needs.

I'm lucky in that I genuinely love my job but if I could do anything I'd love to be an astronaut. :)

there are literally no jobs in what i would really like to do. and for the ones that do exist...well they don't really pay well :neutral:

Realistically though, I'm struggling to to choose a career path right now. I've been a retail administrator for 6 years now and whilst I don't hate my job, chances of processing are very limited nowadays.

I don't have a degree (I dropped out of university after one term in 2006) and I don't have a special skills or trade. I've toyed with the idea of going back to Uni in recent years provided I have more of a cohesive vision this time. Trouble is I don't want to risk job security to either get a great job or come out with loads of dept and to "overqualified" for a regular job.

Rant over.

I actually like what I do a lot - BUT - if I had to do it all over rather than going into structural engineering I would go into audio engineering. Then I would at least not make bands sound as bad as Obie does :)

Well, I just have to...

- work as an interior designer (sold furniture during an internship (close enough :D)
- to work in adult education (not school related)
- to work in a media archive
- working voluntarily
- Organizing concerts
- writing screenplays for television

Did the first 4 and maybe one day I will get to do the fifth point. The last one is highly unlikely in my case.
