The last time Bon Jovi played Omaha was March 9, 2010. The setlist contained one surprise; A full acoustic band version of Never Say Goodbye was played. Other rare songs in the set were Homebound Train sung by Richie Sambora and acoustic renditions of Something For The Pain and Someday I'll Be Saturday Night.

A graph showcasing the order of album and single tracks. A peak indicates the chart position in the Billboard Hot 100, thus a crowd possibly knowing such a song. The more peaks, the more familiar a crowd is with the entire set. In case no peak is noted the song either didn't chart or wasn't released as a single.

I've got to get up before this show is finished so I hereby grant a moderator permission to add the setlist in this topic. :)

That's looking better.

Concert Queen 04-09-2013 08:14 AM

Just got back from the show. In a nutshell, the show was good....not the best I've seen. Richie's absence definitely made a difference even though Jon did a good job trying to compensate for that. Crowd was lame. People around me were sitting or standing with their arms crossed. I'm sure they thought I was crazy because I was dancing, arms in the air, and singing along. Glad I went, but past shows have been much better. There was just something missing tonight.

orly? Something or SOMEONE?

Bastard Jon kicking Richie out of the band.

piab70 04-09-2013 08:32 AM

On phone, back from show. I thought it was great!! I was in the front row and jon sang always for me because he saw my sign. He moved around the stage a lot. Crowd was loud, much louder than wash dc.
Ps, typed this after a few drinks

Were we at the same show tonight? I saw entire sections of the venue sitting down. Definitely not the kind of crowd response that I see at CenturyLink for concerts.

piab70 04-09-2013 09:12 AM

I thought the crowd was loud. Of course the show and crowd in wash dc was god awful!!

MJB12 04-09-2013 09:26 AM

Wow! Great to see In These Arms and Have a Nice Day back, with Always at the end. If the set I get in Denver next week is close to this, I'll be pretty satisfied.

Dave88 04-09-2013 09:55 AM

According to the official setlist Saturday Night wasn't played. Roadhouse Blues was played in the jukebok section of Bad Medicine.

Yeah that would ruin any setlist.

SuperBrad 04-09-2013 01:13 PM

He mentioned him in Calgary. But in Winnipeg the only small hint that he gave was saying rather impatiently "Thanks for your patience (this was emphasized and paused at) with this band. I appreciate your willingness to show up and continue to support this band." At this point he actually seemed just annoyed that he had to even give that speech.

LeaJovi 04-10-2013 06:39 AM

That speech is lame. Support the band? As if they were in need.

Jon please, if you want "support" and "patience" then give one hell of a show. Get off the autopilot and the safe bland setlist and rock the **** off the arena. Go the extra mile.

It's easy to just play it safe and ask for support and patience.

MrIks from Finland 04-10-2013 08:54 AM

This must be the shortest thread about Bon Jovi's concert ever. Only 3 pages.... That says something.

Concert Queen 04-10-2013 07:46 PM

Just a few more notes about this show...

*No mention of Richie. Jon said something along the line of "thanks for supporting this band for 30 years"

*Phil was wearing all black and no lights were on him so it seemed like he wasn't even there. Thank god my seat wasn't on his side.

*During What The Water Made Me people were dropping like flies to their seats.

*Bobby looked most to the night like he was constipated (or more constipated than usual).

*The one thing that I noticed the most....the band seemed to be watching Jon so closely and watching so his cues. I can understand Phil doing that, but even David seemed on edge. It really affected the overall feeling of the performance.

They always do that. Watching to see if he's going to improvise or add anything to a song.

I know they always do that. ;) This time it was MUCH more pronounced.

Or people are just over-analyzing them more than usual?

Not on my part. I went into this show knowing Richie wasn't going to be there and with an open mind that it wouldn't be quite the same as I've experienced before. I'm just posting about what I noticed. I didn't go the concert to look for things to complain about.

It seems to me that some of you are overANALyzing opinions of shows that you haven't been to.
