I dont think BOB works as an opener and neither does Last Man Standing

Aside from Beleive other good openers Ive seen are One Wild Night and Raise Your Hands.

Another gem is the 80s version of Lay Your Hands On Me with trap door entry.

Ive always wanted to see Wild In The Streets opening.

Raise Your Hands... spot on.

None of the recent songs has that energy to be a proper opener for the show and enough recognition to grab the whole audience from the first moment. of course they can use one of the recent songs like last man standing, lost highway or that's what the water made me but when you have way better choices no need for those in my opinion. I believe is an amazing opener but not good for nowadays because jon isn't playing guitar on that, I really like his parts on that song and vocally he won't make the best of the song, this song should be sung in the same way that it was performed in 93-95 with the extended outro. I think lay your hands on me or raise your hands could be the best openers for this tour considering the factors I've mentioned.

Also, Jon can still sing RYH, it's not a stretch for him. Bonus.

I really think that Water could be a good opener. The end outro solos make it more entertaining, definitely. Bad Name didn't work for me as an opener. It's crap live now anyway.

I always thought Its My Life would make a good opener if we couldn't have LYHOM or I Believe.
Something for casuals and fans alike.

Also agree that Have a Nice Day would be good. Water is a waste of the best song on the album as opener, would rather see Because We Can there if it has to be a new song.

More bad decisions from Jon, he really is off the mark sometimes with how a show should flow and what his best live songs are isn't he?

I think Water is a fine opener. Kind of hard to judge how the audience reacted from our houses.

Tokyo Road, though it will never happen would be great.
Runaway I think could work as well.
I'd Die For You.

There's lots of good choices. I don't have much of a problem with Water, as it's got some momentum to it, and it's not at all uncommon for a band to start a show with a new song.

I don't need to know how the audience reacted. I won't bother repeating my personal reasons to why I think it sucks as an opener; read back through the thread, even those that disagree have made points rather than just be dismissive.

The song itself is fine as an opener, the only reason it sucks placed 1st is that nobody knows it. I think the best openers are singles, known to everyone in the stadium.
