Reactions to Richie's departure?

Was just reading in the big thread that Brian May tweeted about not knowing how Richie left Bon Jovi and that he is a quality musician. Anyone else tweeted anything? Could we post any sort of comments from other musicians in here. Wondering if anyone else actually cares...and can be tweeter, interviews, TV, whatever...

Have you got the link to his comments? I don't follow him on Twitter because all he talks about is fecking badgers!

HA!!!! Same here... I am going to cull them myself and just get it over with if he carries on...

I don't use Twitter at all unfortunately...so no idea. Can someone post the exact quotes maybe? Wanted to ask Roger Taylor the other day what he thought but then didn't....would have been a little silly :D

"Does anyone care?"

That would be a good question to ask if Richie actually quit the band for good, not skipped a leg. Don't get me wrong, the situation has been handled very poorly by pretty much everyone involved, but he Richie is still in the band and will return to the tour, unless it gets announced that he's not.

Well, yes, but with all the social media out there, there's an opinion from everyone on everything. And I could see how some people who were close to the band in the past would make some comments....Brian May is a good example. I could think of Nikki Sixx saying something for example, Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent....not sure these guys have twitter accounts but if they did, they are outspoken enough to comment. Or maybe it's just me thinking so...

@DrBrianMay Richie Sambora (guitarist of the band bon jovi) is a great vocalist for Queen! (He is away from Bon Jovi)

This was reply

@rarderoque Really ? I didn't know Richie had left Bon Jovi ? Well, he's a fine musician. Bri

What a retarded comment from that person. Richie singing Queen? ffs, some people are totally clueless.

Having a tweet like this can quickly go viral....someone following brian may commenting and so on and so on...that's why this thread in the first place I guess. Maybe I'm just wrong.

Also - I could easily imagine Richie do some Queen songs. Not his style at all, but his voice could actually fit in. Fat Bottomed Girls, Hammer To Fall...all the poppier tunes would actually work really well IMO.

Of course, yeah a few of tunes would work, but only as fun covers. If that original tweeter actually can picture Richie Sambora stutting flamboyantly around a stage, hitting the big notes the way that Freddie or even Lambert can, then they are delusional. Plus the whole idea of Richie leaving BJ to go and sing someone elses songs.. hell, why am I even still entertaining the idea, I'm done lol

Back to the OP, I'm sure we'll hear other artists and critics reactions once anything officially is actually announced. Richie hasn't left Bon Jovi, he's on a break, for whatever reason. At the moment.
