Berlin show sold out?

Is the show in berlin sold out? Eventim.de has no tickets available for the time being.

Sambo-Chris 05-10-2013 12:38 PM

No. The opposite is the case. They are thinking about moving it to another and smaller venue.

You're right. Bon Jovi are more successful in south Germany. They could never sell out a stadium in Berlin or anywhere in north Germany.
But tickets in Germany don't seem to be selling well anywhere this tour.

Really? I thought the Cologne show was selling well. Don't know about Canstatter Wasen in Stuttgart. Are those tribunes mobile?

With the prices of Madrid, they could sell out every single stadium/arena. They could even come to Greece with these ticket prices and sell out again the Olympic Stadium (capacity of about 90.000 people including the standing).

That isn't entirely true. It only boils down to that problem when they hit East Germany - there they always struggle to sell out venues. Even in 1995, at their peak here in Germany, they "only" played the Waldbühne in Berlin twice (capacity around 20,000), while selling out the Weserstadion in Bremen twice and fitting around 4 times as many people in there over the cause of the 2 nights.
This tour they have even scheduled a lot of shows in Eastern Europe and with concerts in their home country like Bulgaria or Poland many fans just won't bother traveling to Berlin to see the band. Even booking that stadium seemed ridiculous to me from the beginning since Jon should be aware of how they always struggled to sell tickets in that region. Well, a guy who thinks he can sell out the desert doesn't seem to notice though

President Obama will be in Berlin on the date of the show. Maybe this is also a reason that they maybe move the concert.

Or he will come to the concert - though that might cause some little traffic problems ;-)

I just hope they don't cancel the show (and I'd really like to see them play the Olympic Stadium and have the new stage, but I could cope with an arena show), since I won't be able to attend Munich or any other show this tour for personal reasons (pun intended :-D).

I called Eventim last week to ask and they said "no, the show's not being cancelled or moved or something, it's just our tickets contingent is empty" - what you make out of it is up to you, but I noticed that 2 or 3 days later there was 1 single GA ticket being sold and now it's all red again. Gotta keep the faith I believe ;-)

I'm pretty sure that last time i checked the ticket situation in berlin, it looked almost sold out. Really.
