Phil X
As a long time Jovi fan. I see the band has offered a refund on non show of Richie. No one is going to cancel.
All I want to know is will fans be loyal enough to see Richie in the back writing records and staying as a main producer of Bon Jovi records if he don't come back on tour. I see this thing that Bon Jovi are no more if no more Jon and Richie. That is not true. There is nothing wrong with Richie stop touring and Phil X coming in like Hugh Mcdonald and keeping the Bon Jovi name alive. I would think if Richie does not come back on tour, Phil X would be a major session man in future tours playing like Richie. Come on guys, Its happened with bands like Journey, changed singers, Guns n roses changing musicians. Just cos Richie might not tour this year does not make Bon Jovi smaller. I think fitting Phil X in full time could be the greatest thing John could ever do for the band. Richie is getting old, I dont care about the rehab stuff. But the guy needs a copy in the band in case of tours. But maybe next year it will be different, but I think this Phil X guy is doing the tour a good . |
Obviously you don't have a single clue what you're talking about. Compared to any of the bands/groups you mention there's the vast difference that Bon Jovi is as much Jon & Richie as The Beatles were Lennon & McCartney, Aerosmith is Tyler & Perry, GnR were Axl & Slash, U2 are Bono & The Edge, and Rolling Stones are Mick & Keith.
Bon Jovi without their core members (Alec excluded cause he barely played on any record from the get-go) is no Bon Jovi. In all honesty, they should have called it quits after the Circle Tour. That would at least have been a fairly grand exit. Now it's just painfully excruciating watching what have become of musical legends. In short; if you can't do it anymore, just don't do it. |
