Official September 22, Morumbi Stadium, Sao Paulo Brazil thread

So, sales began today and it's selling fast. All the premium tickets are sold, as well as the seating areas on the sides of the stage. In 2010 there were 65.000 people there, so I'm expecting it to be the same.

Last time the band played Sao Paulo was on October 6, 2010, and the setlist was:

Blood on Blood
We Weren't Born to Follow
You Give Love a Bad Name
Born to Be My Baby
Lost Highway
Superman Tonight
In These Arms
Captain Crash & the Beauty Queen From Mars
When We Were Beautiful
Runaway
We Got It Goin' On
It's My Life
Bad Medicine / Pretty Woman / Shout
Lay Your Hands on Me
Always
Blaze of Glory
I'll Be There for You
Have a Nice Day
I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
Work for the Working Man
Who Says You Can't Go Home
Keep the Faith

Encore:
These Days
Wanted Dead or Alive
Someday I'll Be Saturday Night
Livin' on a Prayer

Encore 2:
Bed of Roses

This was one of the best shows in my life. The crowd was something else and Jon was on fire, giving a 3 hour show with very good vocals. Take a look at this:

Judging by the way things are going in Jovi Land, this will be my last Bon Jovi show. I hope the band delivers, considering that they are playing a big festival for over 100.000 people the night before (Rock in Rio).

GabrielC 05-22-2013 04:36 AM

I don't know if I'm going to that one. Too pricey, and I'm not that excited about it. We'll see.

If it sell all tickets, can they add another show?

Ticket prices start at U$90 and go up till U$340. It's outrageous.

Damn, listen to all those people singing These Days. It's like Prayer in the U.S. Impressive.

No, it's louder :D

But it's really impressive. There are times when you can't hear Jon on the verses.

ezearis 05-23-2013 12:41 AM

Everything but the GA is sold out. You lucky bastards are likely to get another date!

GabrielC 05-23-2013 05:47 AM

I hope they hear you and add another date. Maybe in some minor arena? A Bon Jovi show in some indoor arena here would be sweet.

I hope the date here sells as fast as this one, two dates would be great, even more if you have a great setlist as the one in Buenos Aires/Sao Paulo and then a fans-oriented one as the one in Rio.

And yes, a Bon Jovi show in an indoor arena must be sweet.

efpg0708 06-26-2013 12:54 AM

This show is SOLD OUT !

That is cool!!

Gabriel Shoes 06-26-2013 02:41 AM

Cool, maybe they will add another date.

Gabriel Shoes 06-30-2013 07:17 PM

I decided to not to go for this concert or any Bon Jovi shows due to poor setlists and poor album, so I purchased tickets to see John Mayer in SP two days before Bon Jovi. So, the setlists dramatically changed and John Mayer's new record is going to suck so hard that I'm reconsidering to attend both shows, but SP is SOLD OUT.

Now I hope they'll add another date!

Time 4 Fun confirmed that there won't be other Argentinian date. If anyone's gonna get a second date, it's you guys.

No, I didn't bought the ticket and SP is sold out now. If there's a second gig, might be! If not, maybe I'll go to Chile or only La Plata and save some bucks. Only time will tell :D

ezearis 09-13-2013 02:05 AM

Rescheduled to September, 22 so Tico can rest between gigs.

You mean Axl will be there too? :D

Bill23 09-16-2013 05:31 PM

Why is Bach there...is this a festival? And Bach would be great as an opener for Jovi....saw him once open for Axl a few years back, outstanding.

Bach will play in Rock in Rio, 19 and in Sao Paulo, 22.

And we won't have Sofia here:

LeaJovi 09-22-2013 10:55 PM

I was gonna link you Bach's rock in rio performance from friday night. It was removed by the user.

It was the worst thing I've ever seen. Even beat Bon Jovi's performance in suckyness. Anyway, in 2010 he sounded fine, now it's terrible.

Jayster 09-23-2013 01:22 AM

On in 55 minutes.

I'm expecting exactly the same set as Rio.

Jayster 09-23-2013 02:14 AM

Wow... so much interest in seeing Jon Bon Jovi and David Bryan play Sao Paulo....

Kazyyy12 09-23-2013 02:24 AM

First post in a while but I've been following along with what's been going on. I expect a few changes tonight from Rio, maybe In These Arms or something like What's Left of Me. I don't even care what the change is from the usual static set, anything different would be welcome for me, show some effort Jon.

He's wearing the same thing he wore in the infamous Glasgow show where he couldn't get off stage fast enough.

Jayster 09-23-2013 02:57 AM

EXACTLY the same set as Rock in Rio.

WTF, Jon. Are you just over it all?

Kazyyy12 09-23-2013 03:08 AM

That is pathetic, even the audibles are exactly the same. Usually I'm one to stick up for JBJ but that is unacceptable.

wow, nice insult to the Brazilian fans! Way to go Jon, there is no excuse to not mix up the set, just YOU.

I feel the same.

If not for the fans, changing it a bit is good for the band.

His excuse is probably that he doesn't want to push the fill in drummer too much. Let's see if they get audibles that Rio didn't.

Imagine he brought this look back!

Maybe for the 2015 - 2016 Reunion tour with RS.

ezearis 09-23-2013 03:38 AM

''Bon Jovi acaba de declarar que SP animou mais que o RJ''.

Yeah, and of course Richie will bring out his A-game too and will go for a more retro-look.

I'd actually be ok with the Shady Brady making a comeback. (Plus it would help hide the hairline.) ;)
