A very practical question for the more experienced...

So show day is coming closer and closer. I spent the holiday money on one of the Heart & Dagger Packages. However, the question remains...

Where do you put the "VIP"-things you get during the concert :S? It is not like you can run around with a bag inside the diamond circle? I was thinking about bringing a backpack, but the ticket says that's not allowed so...

How should I handle the "premium leather bound journal" etc. during the concert?

All and any ideas are helpful!

Your goodies all come in a plastic bag, so you can carry it with you if need be. The journal is small. The largest item was the tour program. My friend and I just carried the bags with us in Des Moines rather than walking back to the hotel to stash our items. We just kept our bags on the floor in front of us during the concert.

Since you can enter the venue early with the VIP package, you may have time to drop off your bag in your car or at your hotel. That would depend on your personal logistics.

Have fun!

Exactly what 'WillRunForChocolate' said. But if you don't have a car or your hotel is far away from the venue, just keep it in front of you or keep carring the bag with you. The tour program and that heavy too so it won't be an issue for you I guess.

Well worth it for the awesome journal, lol! Actually they must have gotten some kind of great deal on the journals because seriously, who writes on paper anymore? Honestly the picture was a bit of a disappointment too. Jon's face half hidden by the big microphone from the BWC video.

Nah, I don't think so. "VIP" usually stands for "arrives 30 minutes before the show starts and still gets earlier entrance than those who camp their asses off outside the venue for days", me being among the latter. You shouldn't worry.

I've always brought a backpack to my shows! Can anyone else confirm this for the European tour?

I have taken a small backpack on numerous Euro gigs, especially during 2010/11 and never had a problem.

Seems there may be some slack regarding other aspects also. It is normally a given that you are not allowed to take in a DSLR camera with detachable lenses. I have it in writing from the Hyde Park organisers that you can now take a DSLR if the lens is less than 6inches long. So I might take mine considering I have DC for that one and will have no need for a bigger telephoto lens.:D
