I just can't take it seriously yet since all they are doing is reprinting the Sambora "Mirror" story. Which I still don't 100% buy.

Yeah, because it's not like we're already discussing this in dozens of other threads...

Ha...I guess that what happens when you only drop in on the forum occasionally. I did have a quick scan through and didn't notice anything referring to the articles

I won't believe those craps as long as Richie Sambora hasn't done any statement yet. Moreover there's no reliable source as nobody has decide to talk about what is going on in our Jovi World and what made Richie to quit.

But, anyway, even if Richie give it up from Bon Jovi (thing bad) and makes a solo career (I'd follow him there too) Jon Bon Jovi won't let the band disband so easy. He'll just bring in another lead guitarist and life goes on. This would be Phil or Dave Sabo or whoever he prefers to hire. I'd follow both Bon Jovi & Friends as well as Richie Sambora if it comes to a concert or a record. Both Jon & Richie are my inspiration (Including David Bryan, Tico & Hugh too) and I'd love to see them together on stage, if this can't happen then I think that I'll have to see Richie on his own solo tours (and finally meet him as this is more possible, he did that in his solo tour last year) and Bon Jovi as Jon & Friends act which will still carry the name of "Bon Jovi".
To sum up, If it comes to Richie quits once and forever the band, then I would love to see Richie live as well as Bon Jovi & Friends.

Me thinks Jon's got too big for his boots.

He's broken the thing that's kept Bon Jovi together for years - not airing your dirty laundry. The very thing that causes Alec's departure 19 years ago.

I had a feeling 'What About' Now was likely to be the last Bon Jovi album because Richie didn't sound enthusiastic about it a when he talked about what the album was going to be like. I think he's frustrated with the limitations Bon Jovi (the band) has to impose on itself. It's really obvious that since Lost Highway, the band has become Jon Bon Jovi and the Bon Jovi band. Richie, David, Tico and Hugh are merely session musicians now and I don't think Richie likes that. They aren't really a band anymore. After seeing 'When We Were Beautiful' it seemed David didn't like it either. I wouldn't be suprised if David calls it quits at the end of this tour. He's probably the most opinionated of the four members. There are no songs solely written by Jon and Richie. I think John Shanks has more or less taken over his creative role. I like all the album up until What About Now. I honestly don't think we'll see any more Bon Jovi studio albums for a while once this tour wraps up, especially since Jon is started to backbite. It'll be at least 5 years before the band reunite after this.

I'm closing this thread because there's a 500+ page thread for this in the Tour Section. No need to duplicate it here.
