F*ck You Jon - Bon Jovi To Play Madrid For Free

this is OUTRAGEOUS.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-22712497

'The US rock star Jon Bon Jovi has revealed that his band have waived their fee at a concert in Madrid next month, given Spain's economic crisis.'

Given SPAIN's economics?!?!?! How about Portugal's you ignorant yankee ?!?! I apologize in advance to all US fans reading this - but this is just way too much. do your research first you ****ing idiot. first of all, ticket prices for madrid ranged between 18 and 39 euros. cheapest ticket here in Portugal is 59 EUROS. **** Bon Jovi. I vow NEVER to see em again. bunch of cunts.

Nearly everywhere in Europe is in the shit. They can't play everywhere for free. Plus, Spain's unemployment rate is far higher than Portugal, which is arguably what will affect the individuals in a country more than public debt or GDP growth etc.

I'd bet my ass if you were Spanish, you wouldn't have blinked and you'd probably be excitedly buying a couple of tickets.

Oh, and for the record, Italy's financial situation is a joke, but Jon's not my prime minister, so if I felt like throwing the "cunt" word around, it wouldn't be directed to him.

HA this tour just gets better and better.....so, are the tickets like free on TM or somewhere now for folk just to get them?!

samboraisgodUK 05-30-2013 03:38 PM

It does actually say that "Bon Jovi have waived their fee" not that the show is going to be 100% free. Surely the ticket agents will still take their cut and the stadium has to be open, pay the stewards etc.

The joy of reporting again, this time a bit of positive PR for the band (almost if they have tried to deflect attention away from something else  )

The only problem is that with this getting reported, neighbouring countries whose economies are equally in the shitter will not be impressed. At least the UK had some decent cheap tickets as well.

But see this story has been taken up and reposted by different outlets and the message gets a bit scrambled in the chinese whispers- the concert isnt free, BJ aren't getting paid (Apparently). Who knows what cut they are taking from other concerts.

Absolutely not, it's not a free concert we all had to buy the tickets... All the money for tickets will be to pay the rent of the stadium, stewards,..... the point is that the band and their crew won't earn anything for the concert.

In fact, Jon said in the interview that the 1st idea was a free concert in a public place, but we had a big problem 2 years ago in a free festival, fights with people, fights with the police, so they decided to do it in a stadium with cheaper tickets...

How is that OUTRAGEOUS?? And what sort of destructive attitude is that of the person in the original thread. What do you expect? That they suddenly play everywhere for peanuts?

To be honest, it's quite amazing that Jon Bon Bon does that in the first place, given he is a money-hungry whore. Yes, it's good publicity at a good timing, still! That attitude is nothing but immature and ridiculous.

FOR GOD'S ****ING SAKE THEY'RE PLAYING IN SPAIN FOR FREE?!?! AND EVEN WORSE YOU WANT THEM TO PLAY IN PORTUGAL FOR FREE?!?!?!?! I can't believe this ****ing greedy bastards of Bon Jovi aren't doing a free African gig, those poor guys will never have a rock concert!!!!!!

Really, I usually like your posts but this one's beyond stupid. They can't play everywhere for free, they have a "special" relation with their fans in Spain, they want to play there for free, period.

Argentina's economy sucks and I'm not complaining at all. Just be happy for the Spanish people and get over it.

I agree. Ireland is in the economic shitter and they're charging €100+ for tickets. Load of bollocks.
