Official September, 26, 2013, Estadio Velez Sarsfield, Buenos Aires thread

Aloha !

Predictions, disappointments, reviews and rants about this show go in this topic.

The last time Bon Jovi played Buenos Aires was October 3, 2010 in The Circle Tour. The setlist contained three surprises; Blaze Of Glory made its return to the set, These Days was played by request and there were four encores that night. Also, people were excited to see These Days, Dry County, and Always on the same night and it was called by many "the best setlist on The Circle Tour". This year, as on most of the Latin American leg, Nickelback will be the opening act.

No linegraph due to incomplete chart information.

Songs played per album:

I've been to the last show in Buenos Aires and was awesome, the crowd was insane and the band gave it all. I expect a good setlist and performance, but nothing like the 2010 one. Several users of the forum will be attending to this gig (including me, unless I die in some of the next 4 months), so is very likely that we will have a PBP the night of this show.

Salaam Aleikum,
Ezequiel.

Sorry Seb, but this might be the only chance to create the official thread for the gig on my country. So I tried to do it the way you would. General sale starts on July, 5 via Ticketek.

I'll use this space later to post reviews of the show by the users of the forum that attended.

Bochia86 06-01-2013 01:07 AM

I'll be there, obviously :)

No offense, but would it kill you if it didn't? I really don't care who makes it, as long as they put the setlist in the first post, but you make it seem like it'd be the end of the world if you didn't make the official thread for for your country's gig.

You're making it sound like I'm the only one that created the thread for the gig they're attending. If you press "back", you can see that since the European leg kicked off, most of people have created them. At least I followed the "formula" for the title, as most people write them whatever way they wanted. If the Seb-like post bothers you, I can re write it, I was just trying to be funny.

About the original question, no, I won't die and it wouldn't be the end of the world; i just was excited because of the gig and created the thread. Simple as that.

That's alright, I don't mind. You did use the wrong colors for the bargraph though, the blue ones are for the current tour, grey is for The Circle tour, when they last visited your country.

Yep, I'm that anal. :D

Salaam Aleikum,

I noticed it after I saved the .jpg and was like "oh ****". I also did the linegraph considering the Billboard Top 100 and I realized this gig wasn't on the USA. Shit happens :p

Yeah but then again I'm not a big fan of bestiality so Panda's, including you, luck out on this.

I was just reading the 2010 thread, I almost shed a happiness tear. What a great night. Let's just hope Richie's here by then and Jon's voice improves.

Next friday I'm going to get my ticket on the pre-sale with a friend, nobody's gonna take away that ticket from me :D

Bochia86 06-01-2013 04:37 PM

A friend of mine will get the tickets because I have to work and then to the University  I hope that he can get the tickets with no trouble. But we are in Argentina so the word trouble is expected to happen :p

I know, let's just hope the re-sellers don't get them all.

Edit: Already on Ticketek, guys: http://www.ticketek.com.ar/Concierto...jZRgJk.twitter

Edit 2: I don't know if somebody cares about this, but here you can download the "La 100 FM" spots for the concert. Something interesting to have.

semigoodlookin 06-24-2013 02:59 PM

There is nothing on Ticketek for this, can someone tell me if tickets are still on sale, and if so, from where?

They postponed the sale for "logistical" reasons, this week they should add the date with the new days on the Bon Jovi website. This is what the website looked like before they took it down:

Thanks, is the date 100%? I hope it doesn't get cancelled.

The date is 100%. September 15, La Plata. Last year we had our date announced with a short time notice before the concert, so it's nothing we haven't lived before.

If it gets cancelled, there's nothing we can do, but the contract is signed, Time 4 Fun confirmed it (the gig producers) and Matt also did via Twitter, he said that the date isn't on the website because "the producers asked us to wait".

Edit: ****ING FINALLY http://live.bonjovi.com/date/vip-lat...3#.UcidKzvrz9W

Hope we can get a setlist like the one in Cologne, what an amazing night. I might die with This Ain't A Love Song, Wild Is The Wind, I'd Die For You and Living In Sin. 4 of my all time favourite songs :D

That is what we are all expecting!!
I thought of going to Chile (basically to also discover a place I have never been) but I chose Argentina again due to been 99% sure that they will deliver in there their best south-american setlist. The connection they create with the whole stadium is amazing and not something they find everyday!

I've been thinking about going to Chile too, it all depends in if I don't get in any troubles because of missing college. If they keep on doing this setlists, I'll find hard to resist a travel.

But yeah, without any doubt Argentina/Brasil will be the highlights of the South American tour.

ezearis 06-27-2013 08:53 PM

Sorry about the bumping but if you click here, you'll have a view a la Google Street View of the stadium, just in case if you have never been there. And here's some information I putted in the South American Tour thread:

A shame, I really wanted them to play in River as is the most important stadium in the country. Still, the Estadio Único is a pretty good stadium for a Bon Jovi concert:

The Estadio Ciudad de La Plata is a multi-purpose stadium located in the city of La Plata, Argentina. It is also known popularly as the Estadio Único and is owned by the Province of Buenos Aires, administered jointly by the provincial government, the Municipality of La Plata, and the football clubs Estudiantes de La Plata and Gimnasia y Esgrima de la Plata.

Capacity: 53,000. 36.000 all-seater.

I already bought my ticket, I'm so thrilled!

I paid ARS 900 + ARS 135 of service charge + ARS 35 of shipping. About USD 200. I'm in the red area, "Campo Delantero":

ezearis 09-12-2013 04:54 AM

Rescheduled to September, 26. It'll take place in Buenos Aires instead of La Plata, at Velez Sarsfield Stadium.

LeaJovi 09-26-2013 08:33 PM

They must've been four, but it's ooooooooveeeeeer noooooow
It must have been good, but we lost it somehow

GREAT GIG, I was one person away from the fence. They had to stop the show because of people hurting, I have it all on video, will upload tomorrow. Also, Jon was in a great mood and used some glasses with lights that the crowd gave him and brought 3 girls to the stage.

I'll Be There For You was a request but he made the camera-man to show all the banners: Bed of Roses, Always and These Days were other options to play. He wanted us to shout to see what they'll play. There was a banner for Stick To Your Guns and the camera-man recorded it but he didn't even say the name of the song. I had one for TAALS, he saw it in Because We Can, smiled and a guy next to me said "HE WINKED TO YOU MAN, HE WINKED" but maybe it was his mind because I didn't saw anything. He didn't play it though. When the camera guy was showing the banners I brought mine up and as a girl "couldn't see", she broke it. I swear to god that if it she were a guy I would have hitted him. I was really, really mad and I still am.

Will write a full review tomorrow.

ezearis 09-27-2013 07:24 AM

Sidenote: Jon couldn't believe how the crowd sang Water, Because We Can and What About Now. He said "I see you got the memo of the new ones" or something like that.

jovigirloz 09-27-2013 08:04 AM

Glad to hear it was a good show. Jon bringing the girls onstage to create interest again?

Yep, nobody gave a **** about the killer combo Captain/Follow/Who Says, but the crowd kept going on the first two songs, when "Who Says You Can't Go Home" kicked in, well... Jon saw he had to do something and brought the girls to the stage.

That should be the new name for that section of the show. The Killer Takamine combo!!!

Lisa71 09-27-2013 11:01 AM

You Give Love A Bad Name. There is a crush during the front row and at the 2:35 point, Jon stops the song and gets the crowd to move back.

It's My Life*
Because We Can*

Keep the Faith*
Bed of Roses
Captain Crash & the Beauty Queen From Mars*
We Weren't Born to Follow
