The 3 shows I attended so far (St Paul, Des Moines & Vegas) all had tix available on show day.

Not only that but the majority of tickets sold for these shows were sold before the Richie debacle. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the tour that hasn't been sold yet pans out if Richie doesn't come back.

Wow. It only took two replies for someone to derail this informative thread.

Kudos.

Can these numbers even be believable anymore when every show shows as having every ticket sold? I wish we could know the actual figures rather than these massaged ones. It may not be just BJ who does this, but its been the same the last few tours now even when certain shows are clearly not sold out.

It's absolute bollocks but people will still say the tickets were sold. So we're supposed to believe people bought tickets but just didn't turn up?

It'll be interesting to see the numbers for The Finland show. That was obviously at least 1/3 empty.

Think we've discussed ticket sales reporting before, and I think the long and short of it was something along the lines of legitimate ticket agencies consider anything above 95% to be sell-out. The fact that loads of tickets end up on the black market and unsold doesn't factor into these figures.

Now - if they were to report on actual attendance I'm sure we'd see different figures altogether!

Likewise with Cape Town - figures say it was 100% sell-out at 35,407
The capacity of the stadium is 55,000 and even with the stage etc. knocking say 7000 off that you still have the pitch with puts a few thousand back on. No way on earth it was a 100% sell-out!

rolo_tomachi 05-31-2013 02:06 PM

The sale is good, but the show sucks.
