Diamond Circle UK - What to expect?

I've spent out this time and bought DC tickets for the Cardiff concert on Wednesday. What are people's experiences, so far and how close to the front do you get? Are there any special walk ways from the stage that the band walk on?

Thanks in advance.

Never been in it but from the YT vids ive seen youre probably too close if you go to the front and all youll see is up Jons nostrils and not much else when he moves back. Better off at the back of it and thatll be really close anyway. Jon has a catwalk but doesnt always use it and when he does its usually just for one song. That comes around the side and back of GC i think though as far as i could see last night.

Saturday was my first time in DC and we stood right at the walkway where Jon comes off the stage. Had a great view plus it meant we were the first people Jon seen when he came off the stage so I got a high 5 off him.

Im doing DC again in Glasgow and will be heading for the same spot. Wish now I had booked DC for London instead of GC

Hi there,

Wondering if anyone can offer any advice! I have diamond circle tickets for Thursday night in Sunderland. What time do people aim to get there for? Had GA for Manchester for Saturday and got there for 3:30pm. Just checking what time I need to leave work by!

Thanks

Sunday at Villa Park was my first time in DC. It was amazing! I would definitely recommend trying to get as close to the front as possible. I managed to get to the third row and it was awesome! It was great to be so close to the band and all the most fun crazy people were at the front ;) I was bouncing around like a crazy person and Jon looked at me at least 3 or 4 times - SO COOL! (Probably helped that I was quite a bit taller than everyone around me!)

Jon did walk along the catwalk (around the edge of DC) during In These Arms and touched some people's hands, so if you really want that then it might be worth trying to get a place at the back by the catwalk. Personally I felt the chances are so slim and being close to the stage seemed much more worth it. Only downside was it's quite hard to see anyone other than Jon if you're right at the front (not that that particularly bothered me!)

I turned up around 1pm. I managed to get to the front of the DC queue but that was more down to the organisational chaos rather than through being there first. After over 3 hours of waiting I ended up being the first person in DC after the fan club and VIP people so managed to nab a good spot. I was quite worried about keeping my spot as I was by myself but I left my stuff where I was sitting when I went to buy drinks/go to the loo and it seemed to work fine. I would just be careful about when people start to stand up as you might lose your place if you're not around then. It usually happens just after the last support act but can be unpredictable.

Have a great time - I'm sure it will be awesome wherever in DC you end up - it's pretty small!
