Favourite never released songs?.
Just wondering what everyone picks as their favourite never released song or songs?.
For me it would have to be Garageland (Which I am forever grateful that I got to hear at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday) and The Radio Saved My Life Tonight. |
I couldn't choose, I have so many.. Some are up there with the big hitters from the best albums.
I heard Garageland live last tour at Zeebrugge and again in Manchester on Saturday. I was in Gold Circle near the back in Manchester and was singing all the words to it... nobody else anywhere near new what it was and were like WTF is this and how come you know all the words... Full of casual fans:D I told them to go out and buy the boxset at which I had to explain what that was and what it is called. |
Haha that was the same where I was, my girlfriend and I were at the front of GA on Saturday right on the barrier and it was only the two of us and the couple next to us who sang the words, everyone else around us just kind of stood there clueless.
Also I couldn't help but notice the amount of people near me who kept taking their phones out to check texts and Facebook etc the woman next to me literally didn't stop trying to phone her friend, quite distracting really, it does make you wonder why some people go to concerts!. |
'Nothing' is a brilliant song in my opinion. It's a shame 'Heart Of America' went missing because that would have been a #1 hit in the USA.

Lonely at the Top has always been one of mine ever since I first heard on the b-side to This Aint a Love Song. Such a simple but heartfelt wee song.

Postcards From The Wastelands, Dirty Litttle Secret, Unbreakable, Wedding Day, Satellite, Let's Make It Baby, Lonely At The Top.
Though not sure the ones on the box set count as they technically were released. |
'Love Ain't Nothing But A Four Letter Word' (depressing version) is up there, too.

Put the boy back in cowboy. That's the style I expected from the Lost highway record. Rock meets country. But we got more pop unfortunately.
