Phil is answering questions on Reddit now. He said he and Jon talked about writing together for the last album, but it was already written. It may happen for the next album.

VERY psyched Phil answered my question about why he didn't play on the full album.
"actually, it was all recorded when the band decided to have me involved so JBJ picked 4 songs where he felt the guitars could be stronger and i went in and did my thing. it was a thrilling experience to just do that and i'm very excited to do more." So there it is. |

Where did he reply? Twitter? Interesting that Jon felt the guitars could be stronger on those particular songs. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

He followed up to say he really wants to play in full on the next album as well. Cool cool cool stuff.

ETA: I just saw on Twitter that Phil is going to be on Trunk Nation on Volume tomorrow. |
I've been listening to Phil on Volume. He said maybe some more North American dates in the fall and possibly other markets next year. He talked about how amazing fans are in Europe and he was surprised they had not hit that market yet.
He said it was amazing to record with Bon Jovi. He also said Richie officially quit in 2014. He said he can't even put into words how amazing it is to play in Bon Jovi and he still gets goosebumps every time he plays Prayer. He talked a good bit about Hired Gun. Eddie asked why Hugh wasn't in the movie. Phil said 60 guys were interviewed and 12 are in the film, so he thinks there will be a series or bonus features on the DVD. Oh, the first 10 minutes or so were barely understandable because his phone sucked. He had to call back on a land line. |
Thanks Becky! If he's not sure about other markets at this point it really makes me worry there won't be another leg.
