Stop talking out of your ass, Lisbon was awesome and the webcast of that night did no justice to the actual show. Jon always sounds dreadful on those webcasts but when comparing the audience recordings of the same show he sounds miles better, even youTube videos of people in attendance show a better performance than what was broadcasted to everyone interested. The way he went for the final note that night was a moment I will never forget, he pushed himself like no tomorrow and gave everything he had.

Don't get me wrong, This Ain't A Love Song sounds fine in Cologne and Prague, but Lisbon and pretty much the last few shows of the 2011 tour were a whole different beast in regards to overall performance.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I agree but wasn't that around the time a long break was scheduled and Jon was willing to push himself as he believed he would be having a break after the tour?

God that full recording is awesome. I would pay the dude tickets for the whole tour if I were to get all the shows like this.

I have a hard time deciding what performance of TAALS is the strongest, either Lisbon '11 or Randers '08. Watching the 2008 one, the song was better performance wise, and there were some magic in the air after it's unexpected return. But Jon put in more soul and feel to the Lisbon one. I don't know which one is the better, both are terrific performances.

Agreed. One of my favorite vocal performances from Jon for a long time. He literally did give it his all on that last note.

Maybe it was because a break was happening from touring, but that doesn't take anything away from it being better than this one.

I sound like I hate this performance. I don't, I think it's brilliant.

If I head This Ain't A Love Song at any show I was at, I'd be happy and take in that moment and probably remember it for a long time. No I am not a fan of the song itself as I prefer other ballads but as I have never heard it live, I would be in awe of the song in that particular moment.

Just watched 'Loves The Only Rule' .. Absolutely love that song.

Seriously, Jon sounds so good every time on it and looks like he enjoys singing it. I'd love for that to stay around every tour. I really would...

Agreed. Cologne and last night sounded better IMO too.
