Would they be around now if they maintained the 80s metal image though....

Was thinking the exact same thing.

Nope.
They needed to change to evolve.

They just headlined a bill featuring Bush and The Kaiser Chiefs.

It don't get much better than that.

They werent popular with a lot of "metalheads" at that show either, during Let it Rock Jon stood on the roof of the stage to sing part of We Will Rock You and there were no end of people around me shouting "JUMP" and they werent asking him to sing a Van Halen cover either.:D I know they pissed Metallica off that day as their helicopter flew over the stage as Metallica played.

Easily one of the top 5 shows Ive seen them though, despite JBJs voice being rough. The "diehards":rolleyes:wouldnt be happy though, not a very long set and they didnt even play TAALS.:p

Kinda reminds me of when I went to see Bon Jovi at the Heineken Music Festival in 2003. The other two headliners were Metallica the day before and Iron Maiden the day after. I had a few dumbass "metalheads" around me wondering when Metallica were going to get on, and I was so tempted to just yell at them how stupid they were for being there whining rather than just go home, and for waiting for a band that actually played the day before and is surely not coming back for them. LOL

I envy you for having been around pretty much all along though.
