I've always loved the Soldier Field shows. Can't believe I'm missing this one because I can't get away from work! BOO!!

About to board plane from MSP to Chi town! Can't wait....Taste of Chicago and Jovi at Soldier Field. Forecast is perfect too!

Have fun to all who are going! I'm never seen Bon Jovi in Chicago, but I have been to Lollapalooza and have seen Bruce there several times. It is one of the best if not the best city in the country, as long as you stay out of the bad parts. I hope they get a good show.

I went to Chicago in 2010 and they put on a great show in a top city and venue. The UK has many excellent stadiums, but Soliders Field was at a different level, a briiliant stadium, excellent view of the Chicago skyline from the stand as well.

I'm sure they will put on an excellent show, albeit with a fairly steady set list.

Saw Bon Jovi once in Chicago but it was at the United Centre - the one where Jon turned 40 + the cake was wheeled out with the MM impersonator inside the cake. he looked so embarrassed!!!

That would be ZERO. Never seen them at the Pony..other bands, but not Jovi.

I went to the launch party for The Rising album at the Pony - that was fun even though I'm not that into Springsteen. Just happened to be on when I was in NJ. Good times.

is there any official statement regarding Richie ? Last time they released a statement saying Richie would be absent from the South African/European leg.

There isn't an official statement but Phil has confirmed he'll be there.

I was at the Stone Pony once, Jovi were meant to be there but their record company threw a BBQ for them, so they didn't appear :( - booooo!!! We got a tribute band instead :(

How good is usually the show after the europe leg?

I hope Chi town gets a great show tonight. I hope they are as good as the back-to-back shows in 2010 for all who are going.

Hopefully Chicago gets a decent length set tonight and a good show! Prediction for the night is for 24 songs and possibly a song like Radio or Die For You

I spend a reasonable amount of time at The Stone Pony. I see Southside Johnny a lot there and plenty of other bands come through there. Neither Bruce nor Jovi play the place anymore - it's way too small. But there are rare sightings and the occasional guest appearance to keep things interesting.

My prediction.. Thorn in my side dedicated to richie tonight... Lol Would be nice for that song to reappear though

From what I remember in 2010 US Stadium leg, they went on in Foxboro at 9:15 local time and ended around 11:45 local time

I was thinking of attending this show; it would have been my first. But without Richie, I didn't bother; he's my favorite and I'd want to see the whole band together.
