Jon on X Factor - Australia

Jon is going to be a mentor on the Australian verison of X Factor. He will be working along side Redfoo ( LMFAO fame)

Also the host of the show Luke Jacobz tweeted this picture of himself with Jon.

Christ, it's either insulting Jon by putting this guy on the same level, or embarrassing how low Jon has to stoop for relevancy.

Anyway- I presume the mentor thing is different down under? One week rather than a full series?

Can someone please explain to me the difference between a mentor and a judge? Especially in terms of how long is Jon going to be on this show?

Yep, just one week (2 shows tops). Redfoo already picks his team of contestants and they fly over to the states to meet Jon and Jon gives his advice, that's it. Jon doesn't pick the winner or continue with the contestants. Literally, it would have been filmed in a day.

Nothing to do with relevancy....everything to do with a bunch of Australian shows they need to sell tickets for I'd guess.

Is that a 1 week job like they did over here a few years back (or was it the US one I can't remember) or a permanent thing for the series?

Wouldn't surprise me if its just a 1 week guest mentor and a Bon Jovi week to plug the tour while they are over there

For **** sake. You do not need to do this, Jon.

Also, Redfoo is a complete and utter wanker. I just want to slap those stupid glasses off his face. Every time he comes on TV I'm in a huge rush to change the channel. And his girlfriend is a horrible human being.

JBJ has been such a sell out over the years - it doesn't exactly help fans trying to stand up for the band.

I don't see why this is a big deal, Jon mentored for one week on American idol as have alot of other big artists. So he mentors in Australia, it's like one episode. It gets the band some free advertising and he's giving advice to wanna bes. How is that a bad thing??

This. It gives the band publicity and gives aspiring artists advice from a successful person who knows what he's talking about. I don't see anything wrong with it.
