Hi to all, I'm new here and I would like to start a CD collector's thread to show what rarities are out there, so I'm really interested in your favourite rarities...Let me start with my favourite one..."Livin' on a prayer/Wild in the streets", 2-trk-promo-picture-CD from 1986 in a big cardsleeve with a protection inner sleeve, front and back pic are the same...I'm looking forward to see all your stuff ;)

Moving this to General as it's not about any new release.

It is made in Germany but I’m not sure if it is for the German and/or the UK market.

It is hard to say because I guess everybody probably has another view on what is rare and collectable.
But in my eyes the Livin’ on a prayer/Wild in the streets 2 trk promo CD that I mentioned is the rarest one to come by, I found it on ebay about 10 years ago and I have never seen it before or saw it ever since on any auction page, mail order or fan-/collector’s side.

To make a Top 10 here are my personal most rare ones by random order (pics are at the end of the post):

Japan/UK-Live!-Sampler from "New Jersey"...
Released in Japan to promote the "Make a difference foundation" and its releases ( "Stairway to heaven/Highway to hell"-Cover-Album and Moscow Peace Festival 1989 ). It has been released in Germany/UK as well but without any artwork/inserts.

"Bon Jovi in Brazil", Brazil 1989 Promo-Compilation promoting the forthcoming Brazil-concerts in 1990.

You can't lose at love/Neurotica", Cardsleeve 2-trk-promo from "Crush"
"It's my life/Wanted", Korean 2-trk-promo from "TLFR"

"Living in Sin", German Cardsleeve-Version, the rarest of all the "Living..."-pressings.

"It's my life", UK/Taiwan-Promo-Box, incl. CD und Video.

"Never say die", canadian 1-trk-Promo CD ( CDP 439 ), it has the same Front-Cover as the US-Version ( CDP 378 ), but with neutral black Back-Cover...CD is silver-labled, the US-Version is black.

"Crush", Japan 14-trk-Promo-CD.

"Save the World", Japan 1-trk-Promo-CD incl. lyrics, from "Crush"

"Summertime", Finland 1-trk-promo-CD, from "Lost Highway"

There are a few items I am looking for years now which make it easily into my Top 10 as well because I don’t have them ;-):

- Blaze of Glory – US promo Box incl. CD, Video and Pencil
- One Wild Night – Japan 1 trk promo CD with “Jungle” cover
- I’ll be there for you – USA 3”CD complete with 3” * 7* flat card
- Cama de Rosas – MEX 4 track CD

If anyone has it for sale just drop me a line ;-)

I am collecting BJ for about 15 years now and I was looking ( and I am still ) for a good comprehensive detailed discography with pics, description …there were quite a lot of good ones around ( i.e. bonjovimuseum.com, somethingforthepain.com, fred-bonjovi.com, redbankbj.com….) but either they are not updated anymore or just disappeared, that’s why I started this topic on the official German BJ Forum (forum.bonjovi.de ) with putting rare items with pics in a special collector’s thread a few years ago where I have big response and lots of contribution, it is really lots of fun and is updated with new and forthcoming rare releases…now I want to bring this topic to a more international audience…

Due to the fact that there is no almost complete discography I tried to make my own one by putting all infos together from the above mentioned sites together with my own CD collection and I think it should be complete ‘til the Blaze of Glory era, if you still have anything to contribute feel free to do so and I will add it to my list.

It’s chronological by album release and just CD singles were considered:
