I thought it was me. Now, truth be told, when I listen to an album for the first time I can't help setting the volume ultra-high. Bad habit, I know. Anyway, I thought maybe that was the reason, but the thing is my speakers are pretty good. I think the "noisy" vibe is intended, but I remember feeling weird when I first listened to it. LOL

Haha I love my music loud in the car, on my headphones, wherever. My husband is the opposite. The first time I turned "Aftermath" on, we both jumped about a mile lol, though for different reasons. I was like, 'Yeah! Rock on!!' and he was like, "Geez, this is so loud!!!" lol

Neither of us could figure out the lyrics right away.

I share your dream, actually...xD. After all, Richie only got to sing "IBTFY" one time during the first leg before he left the tour.

Bobby's already got more solo spots (as of the Saratoga show) than Richie did on the first leg!

So, if Richie returns, it's only fair imo...if he opened with "Burn That Candle Down", it would rock more than much of the Bon Jovi stuff they've written in the last decade or so. Only problem, it would be difficult to understand the lyrics. Or maybe that's just me. When my husband listened to 'BTCD" on the album for the first time, he couldn't hear the verses for all the noisy production and distortion lol

I was at Richie's solo show in Los Angeles and he didn't know a single word in Burn That Candle Down except for the title.

This is odd. I saw the video of Bobby opening up with SQT. Pepper. I image many fans had some disappointment. From all the live Jovi shows I've attended, (or any live concert) that is the most exciting time of the evening. The anticipation of the opening song. And from a $ standpoint, if I paid $100 to see Bon Jovi....I would want an opening song...new or old from the BAND not Bobby and the Kings.

This must have been very disappointing. :(

Cheap Trick live at the fair was great! And yes Robin Zander opened the show.;)

Maybe he should have the Kings of Suburbia open the show with a Tim McGraw or Kenny Chesney cover and see what happens.

Their show was very good. Heavy on the guitars. They even brought up a young boy to play with them. It was pretty cool.

Also, with my knowledge of the powerhouse that is The Kings Of Suburbia sadly lacking in places...

Does Hugh play with them? I think I remember him playing on some of Jon's recent solo endeavours, but is he a part of KOS?

Hugh is not part of KOS.

I must say that I found Sgt. Pepper very refreshing and this was Bobby's best effort ever. I might be a bit of a Beatles fan though, so that probably clouds my judgement. However, I'm a big BJ fan too, so I think I'm allowed to stand by my opinion.

What's not ok though is only 12 or so songs played by BJ when people were there to see a whole BJ concert....that was a major faux-pas by the manageme....I mean Jon.
