InTheStudio: 25th anniversary interview for New Jersey
Didn't listen to it yet, but here's the link anyway ;)
http://www.inthestudio.net/redbeards...h-anniversary/ Edit: Some nice little facts about the writing of Born To Be My Baby in there. |
Ah, how times have changed. The man was so honest and sincere.

i find it strange that jon is announces himself as from bon jovi and richie sambora just richie sambora..
at the end redbeard says richie is taking a sabbatical and new song and video is come back as me... |

They weren't together during the interview and based on Jon's voice & fun spirited attitude, I don't think this entire thing is current either. |

I always liked the acoustic version on the LIS maxi single. Yet I think they made a good decision to put the rock version on NJ. Stories on the writing processes of various songs are fascinating indeed. I'd always like to hear more of them. Sadly, there are tons of well known BJ songs that have never been commented by the band. I've read the story of almost every single Beatles song. I wish the same could be possible with Bon Jovi. |
That interview isnt new is it?
I always think you can tell a JBJ 1988-90 interview a mile off. His voice is much different. |

Most of New Jersey consisted of sequels to Slippery tracks. Born To Be My Baby is a great song either way, and NJ is still their best album. So the whole "carbon copy songs" aren't actually a new thing, it's just they used to only do it for two albums in a row, and get much better songs out of the approach.
