How Much Talent Does Jon Really Have

It's been a long time since we've seen this dude do something other than stand there smiling while strumming his 4 chord progression.

As a musician, you never see him break into song with a one-liner when the camera is on him. He never does a drum beat while on an interview (with the exception of his air drumming to the house bands while on late night talk shows. But that's more of just Jon going with the flow of the show). It's almost as if he shies away from music when not in that mode.

I would love to see Jon showcase his other talents such as the harmonica, piano, and I think the dude could actually play the drums too. Not only because of the thing he did with Tico at the Borgata but because of this too.

I'd also love to see him do more on guitar.

You see guys like Dave Grohl do it all and I think Jon is keeping himself underrated. He needs to get the nerve to go balls out and become a real musician again.

As a musician? Not a lot, enough to get by of course, but obviously he is not a massively talented musician.

In other aspects of his career I think he is hugely talented, much more than people give him credit for. Songwriter, frontman (even now), businessman, singer etc. Which is why it is just a real shame that the last 13 years of the band has on the whole been disappointing.

Deep down I know nikolol and you are trolls so I don't even know why oh why I get ticked by your respective stupidities. I mean its so obvious no serious human being would have thoughts like this, and I should just leave it alone, and yet.... THE BAIT IS TO ALLURING.

So how the flying hell would any of this make Jon a better musician? Jon's not "underrated" because he hasn't whipped a saxophone out of his back pocket while at the Vatican. He deemed marginal because he's lazy and deteriorating. His talent on stage is judged by two things: singing and guitar playing. And he sucks a lot at both.

It's simple, Jon is a very talented musician who did it all and got lazy in his old age.

Watch the "An Evening With...." dvd. He does it all. Drums, guitar, piano. He had something to prove back then and he's got nothing to prove now. It's just money.

Drums? When?

FTR, I don't think it's just about money. He's got more of that than he'll ever need.

I think he still believes he has something to prove. Just keep on trucking along at the laziest possible speed and churn out sub-par albums and crap tours, just to say "Bon Jovi is still around and doing well!"

They're ****ing rockstars from the 1980s. Do you expect them to be humble and shy?
