Jovi Moment -- During a Discussion about Bullets?
During Rachel Maddow's coverage of the New Jersey Senate primary elections, she mentioned that New Jersey governor Chris Christie has been reluctant to sign a bill banning four-inch bullets meant for five-foot long military rifles with a range of two thousand yards. She quoted the husband of former congressional representative Gabby Giffords, the victim of gun violence at a rally in Arizona, who had written in an editorial in favor of the ban:
Quote:
...Polls show that 96 percent of New Jerseyans — and 95 percent of gun households in the state — support expanding background checks to keep guns away from those who shouldn’t have them. I was raised in West Orange, near the governor’s hometown of Livingston, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen 96 percent of people in New Jersey support anything except Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen...
