Jon On Australia's The X Factor
 

I think he is going to be on it Sunday night. It looks like he is a mentor or something to the contestants, I am not really sure.

Saw the previews last week and he was on it, listening to the people sing, he says 'there's a lot of talent' which in my opinion means he must be suffering from hearing loss, because many of our contestants this year suck - apart from Jai and Vendulka.

He's in amongst Kylie Minogue and will.i.am

Should be interesting.

Nothing Jon does is interesting anymore.

He used to have a funny yet charming way about him. Now, he is just a robot of himself.

He is going to mention '30 years' so everyone could say, wow Jon you look so young.

Wow Jon you look so young! Please tell me more about those 30 years nobody but the die hards care about!

Apart from the odd exception, I have not seen a original Jon interview for years, probably back as far as Crush. The guy has a script of things he always says, maybe it is his way of hitting back at people who ask the same questions, give the same answers.

I sincerely doubt it. Looks like a case of "not giving a ****" to do interviews anymore, so he does those robotic one liners all the time.

Since Wasting Light came out (the Foo fighters record) I got into their music and what struck me was how passionate Dave was about his music and music in general, be it onstage or in interviews. Then take our beloved Jon, you can tell he's a bored, soulless android.

For instance

I am not a huge Foo Fighters fan, but yeah I have seen Grohl give interviews a few times and he is generally a warmer person etc etc.

Anyway, I like both, I like the open kind of stuff but I also don't mind Jon being a dick either. I don't know him so it doesn't offend me, in fact I would be more inclined to be like Jon if I was in his position.

Well you're semi-good looking, not full time like Johnny here. You don't get to be a dick.

Compared to Dave, Jon is just stuck-up because he takes himself too seriously. And I cannot imagine having the same discussion about EVERY thing Dave does or says at a FF board as we do it here with Jon and Richie, but I also doubt that Dave would act like a self-important boss.
