Talk about things that make you feel old. Has it really been TWENTY FIVE years? I still remember the day I bought New Jersey. That was one of two records that changed my life.

Still the band's beste album IMO. Great songs, great performances, great production.

I didn't buy New Jersey the day it came out -- I waited two days so that I could buy it and the Anthrax album State of Euphoria with just one trip to the record store. On my way to the checkout counter, I stopped for a quick poke through the bargain bin and found a copy of The Best of Teddy Pendergrass. Twenty-five years later, I can still remember the look that the cashier gave me! :D

My other favorite New Jersey memory is hearing

for the very first time, and having the exact same reaction that Jon did to Tico's "shotgun wedding": "What did he play that for? Oh, NOW I get it!"

Although I liked Bon Jovi back then, I wasn't really a die-hard just yet. Once this album ran its course with single, was when I started turning into a die-hard.

I remember when the Bad Medicine video was released and it was such a big deal in my area. You would think it was the Empire Strikes Back premiering.

Bigger than the biggest artist today. It was crazy!!!

I remember the LYHOM video.
Stunning. I was 13. I wanted to see Jovi live from that point.
I did for my 15th birthday in 1990.

The best album EVER!

That afternoon, I ran directly to the record store from school. I still remember the first listen as if it was only yesterday. Bigger than life songs just kept on coming, one after another. It was unbelievable.
