I see what you're saying but I think you're blowing it out of proportion.

I don't think so. This band is in the crapper. Everything that this band has done has disappointed me. It's a very sad thing. But over the last two years I have lived with the expectation that everything is going to be dire and will suck. (which is more than often the case) But sometimes they surprise me and do something that doesn't suck or isn't a pile of crap. That hasn't happened for a while, (In fact, the last time it happened for me was the Hurricane Sandy relief show with Bruce) but when it does happen I'm reminded why I still like this band.

It used to bother me when people posted on this forum and said "Oh, I haven't listened to Bon Jovi in months.. blah blah"... But that is the case for me. I just reviewed my itunes last listened to date for one of my favorite Bon Jovi songs. The last time I listened to it was in April. Sad? Maybe. But... Oh well. This band is nothing but a constant disappointment. I honestly believe they need to end now before they end on an extremely embarrassing note.

Hah, my point was more not watching it because the vocals will be auto-tuned (referencing the Jersey vocals being tweaked for the upload). If you're not watching it for that reason it's not the same thing. This is a live stream of a festival show not a Bon Jovi show. I mean if you're not watching it for your reasons then fine but I don't think this show can be auto-tuned.

Yeah, it can be done, but it'd sound ridiculous. The thing they do when vocals suck is make them drown out by the music or add reverb to them or something to that extent. Unfortunately Jon hasn't come to realize this yet and neither have his engineers because Bon Jovi never sound like a band on live recordings nowadays and Jon's voice is always on top of everything else, as opposed to blending in with the music. Either way, he's going to sound dire. The days I would stay up for this stuff are long, long gone.

All true, totally. I was just making the point if you're not watching it because you think it'll be auto-tuned that's silly. If you're not watching it because it'll be mediocre with a stale setlist similar to the last Rock in Rio I'm right there with ya.

The Youtube stream has a countdown so maybe it does work for outside of Brazil or certain countries, whereas it's blocked in Brazil where the domestic station has the rights?

It's sad that Tico won't be there, but I really didn't expect him to so soon after the surgery. Tonight's show has the potential to be somewhat of a train wreck, but I'll still watch. I'm guessing 18 songs of vanilla, but we'll see.
