But as you said, they created the most chances. The PL may be a long way behind Germany and Spain but I'd rather watch end to end games with goals than 2788 passes with zero end product.

Bayern scores an average of almost 3 goals per game and had scored 63 times in a row until last weekend when they lost 1-0.
This year, in the Bundesliga, the first 0-0 occurred on match day 11. I don't think there's another league with as many goals. While I think the Premier League is still a much stronger league overall, that whole point about passing the ball around with no purpose is just bollocks. It's just that, these guys are not machines either, and sometimes, a team like ManU comes along that just does an incredible job at parking the bus in front of the goal and going all in for good, old school kick and rush. Barcelona, at its peak, was beaten twice by this tactic - with a Lionel Messi in their ranks. Don't see why this can't happen to Bayern. The only plus point is that we still have a proper striker - Mandzukic - and guys who can cross. But dismissing Guardiola's football style is a bit silly especially since he seems to have taken it a notch further with Bayern.

My problem with how Bayern played against Man U is the same problem I used to have with Barca when Pep Guardiola was in charge. Passing is great to watch (sometimes) but when their is no product at the end, it is boring. That was the problem with Bayern. Lots of passing but not enough shooting when they had the chance. Attack Man U with some pace and aggression and they can't handle it.

I think Guardiola is a fantastic manager, top class even, but I'd have to scream at my players to shoot sometimes if I was him. Especially with some of the positions his players get in. Such a shame that they didn't kill Man U off well and truly in the first leg as I do think that they were there for the taken but Bayern just didn't have that finishing touch.

Hoping the next leg is totally different and that Bayern destroy them.

It's true about Bayern though. They overcomplicated the first leg completely. Plenty of teams that aren't anywhere near as accomplished in possession have turned United over this season because it brings United out and lets them play. The fact is though, we have no creativity in midfield and too many players have a woeful first touch - Ferdinand is probably the worst for that! Put Rio under pressure and you'll get loads of chances.

The problem with Bayern's approach is that they were too predictable. United knew the Germans were going to have the majority of the ball and set themselves up to defend at all costs. United have had loads of possession this year but never do anything with it and usually end up being caught out themselves. I could actually see Bayern's dominance being used against them in the same regard unless their finishing improves dramatically from the first leg (which I'm sure it will).

I'm under no illusion that Bayern will most likely net 3 or 4 unanswered goals tonight but if United hold them off at least until half-time, I could see us potentially nicking a late goal and holding out. It's the only way we'll go through. If we score too early, United will just end up sitting on their own 18-yard line all evening and it'll only be a matter of time before Bayern break through. We need to stay tight and get a goal late on to have any chance.

Should be a good game if United get the first goal though. :)

I said before the first leg that it wouldn't be a walk over. Bayern are fantastic, they do some incredible passing but I just knew that they would be like Barcelona in terms of not shooting as much as they could. That's why I think the scoreline was the way it was.

I don't think Man Utd done anything great in all honesty, I just think it was down to Bayern being pretty poor and having no firepower.
