It's always nice to see the smugness wiped off Robben and Ribery's faces. Pep aint all he's cracked up to be either.

I hope Madrid win

Yeah, easy to say that after mid-season we were invincible and playing the most attractive football ever and what not, all that bullshit.

Real deserved to go through, but it was 3 set pieces that they scored from. Set pieces tat we defended so poorly that even Wigan would have done a better job. Surely, that's not Pep's fault. When Barcelona beat us 4-0 in 2009, that was being outclassed. This was just odd. Don't get me wrong, again, Real deserved to go through, yet it's only because of individual mistakes, not because of a better playing philosophy. Bayern's players have fallen into some sort of pit. There's 3 or 4 events that triggered it. Winning the Bundesliga early on. Alcantara being injured. Ribery not winning the Ballon d'Or and Hoeness being sentenced to jail. They all happened at the same time, and suddenly, the spark was gone. You need total belief in your skill to successfully play the way Bayern played and that was shattered. Yet I have no doubt whatsoever that we'll be back next season, playing the final in Berlin :D

As about the actual final...ah well, fingers crossed for Atletico. Refreshing to see a team like that take on the big boys.

Ribéry should've never been shortlisted for the Ballon d'Or anyway. He only made the list 'cause Bayern won the CL. If Fifa are gonna do that, then they might as well have added Drogba to the shortlist the year before lol

Yes, and you watched exactly how many Bayern Munich games last season? If I wanted to read what the Daily Mail writes in their sports pages, I'd go to the Daily Mail sports pages. Of course, reproducing crap like that is easier than drawing your own conclusions. Anyhow, that's a different topic. Ribery played really bad since the Ballon d'or story and that's something that Pep should have addressed. To his defense, he had surgery and was out for about a month as well, never was the same after and he was really bad in the semis. But it is what it is. Two days later, I'm happy my team stands for a football philosophy. It's Peps first year and it's work in progress, but I have no doubt that this team will win the CL final again very soon.

Now now lads it's just a game :p

A game that I've for the most part given up on because I can't stomach the rampant commercialism in it but I will watch and enjoy the final providing I don't end up with a gig that night.

A few weeks ago, you had no doubt that they will be the first team to defend it :D

On a serious note; I hope I'm wrong, but I think it was just a phase last year for German Football (when we had 2 German teams in the Final). Spain will always be the favourites in this competition (Mainly Barca and Real). Hopefully, Pep, Jose or even Wenger could change that in the future :)
