question about presale tix

if you join the JBJ fan club. Are the seats available only the pit seats or are they seats such as sec 125 in philly which are closr but not on floor. My son who is 6 is a huge Jovi fan which i want to get as close as possible but dont have 4 or 5 grand to get him in the pit. Any advice?

Im sorry, I didn't introduce myself. Ive been a lurker for about a year. I am a huge Springsteen fan. My son discovered Bon Jovi accidentally and since then is obsessed with him. Even had be buy a similar leg brace Bon Jovi wore when he hurt his leg on the "Love's the only rule " video when he was in Europe. Anyway, I just want to get him as close as I can to enjoy the show but cannot afford to buy 4 tix in the pit for the whole family.

Welcome.

Whilst I can't say what happens for the US shows, it is definitely not the case that you need to join the fan club to get the best seats. It certainly isn't the cheapest, especially as you have to factor in the cost of joining, plus sometimes they charge more fees and a slighter higher face value price. I think, but not 100% sure, that you can buy max 2 per member, so for 4 youll be adding $100 odd to the cost straight away

You are probably best to take your chances with Ticketmaster and the like, or if the concert is not sold out buy some tickets nearer the time, but if you are buying on a budget, the fan club will not be the option for you. I'm sure a US based forummer can help more.

Fan Club has section 125 row 6 still available for Philly. FYI

Unfortunately to be in pit in North America is
not cheap A pit tkt will cost $400-$500
There is no need to join Fan Club as you can get
tkts on Ticketmaster If you dont mind floor seats
you can get a tkt for abt $150

so you think i might be better off waiting until actual sale date? I need 4 tix together so i guess fan club wouldn't be worth it.

If you really want 4 tix together in a prime lower bowl/side stage location you'll have zero chance on Ticketmaster/public on sale. You'll have 2 get 2 Fan Club memberships (allowing you to purchase 4 tix) or go the broker route.

The fanclub presales don't guarantee you great seats. They've only got a limited amount of seats for every section, so chances are they're sold out as well and you're bound to buy either something else you don't want, or just buy from Ticketmaster anyway. Either way, the fanclub is completely useless and in a way a scam because they advertise it as some way to get good seats guaranteed.

My advice? Get cheap seats. He's 6, sure he'd like to be up close but with the size of the video screens Bon Jovi is using he's guaranteed to get a good view regardless of where he's seated, and he'll love it no matter what gets played anyway.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Thanks, I appreciate the help. I think ill have to go the scalper way. I could probably pay up to 200 a seat. Not sure if that would get me up close.

What I suggest for shows in America:

Ticketmaster 95% of the time releases tickets on the day of the show, and they're always good tickets in an attempt to stop scalpers. If you're willing to risk it, do it. I've got all of my good seats this way.
