34,733 is nowhere near a sell out. Absolute bollocks as usual. |
Compare these numbers with those on previous tours or the actual venues' capacity for concerts. It is obvious they are down significantly from previous tours, except for a couple of shows. Seems like reports of many shows being papered may have been correct.
Concert capacity for Foro Sol, Hampden Park, Ford Field, and Soldier Field is 50,000. For MetLife and Gillette: 55,000 each. The two amphitheaters also hold more than the Bon Jovi attendance figures. |

i think we have discused the whole sold out label repeatedly...they label it sold out as a marketing tool, to show they a big worldwide drawing act...and surely they are...sadly even without richie and tico...
the prices and the exchausting touring along with the declining studio outcome is the reason they slowly fade away...there are very few bands who can tour the world and score these numbers every two years, but if jon wants the band to be great again has to make many changes in the camp. this tour will probably be number 1 BUT everything went wrong and in my eyes its the worse tour ever...shit happens and maybe all these fuels them to change and improve but many things have to change after this tour... |

The fact that the official site and their Facebook and twitter accounts are begging fans to vote for them for Billboard's best tour of the year award is laughable. "Be sure to keep checking BonJovi.com/Vote each day to see photos, stories and highlights from Bon Jovi's greatest tour yet!" Canceled dates, rescheduled dates, shows relocated to smaller venues, no Richie, no Tico, an impromptu Kings of Suburbia show billed as Bon Jovi, no setlist variation.......Bon Jovi's greatest tour yet? Umm no. |

This always confuses me. It would be one thing to put 30,000 tickets on sale and sell those 30,000. Even if the venue holds 50,000 it would be a sell out in the technical sense. But when there were tickets available that clearly didn't sell on the same day, does it really count as a sell out?? It's all really weird....
