Jon Bon Jovi escorts bride in Las Vegas

Jon Bon Jovi fulfills fan's dream, walks her down the aisle in Las Vegas

An Australian woman who once dreamed of marrying Jon Bon Jovi accomplished an only slightly less ambitious goal: Having the rocker walk her down the aisle at her own wedding.

Branka Delic and her fiance Gonzo launched a website, bonjoviwalkmedowntheaisle.com, in which she begged Bon Jovi to attend her wedding at Las Vegas' Graceland Wedding Chapel...where Bon Jovi married his high school sweetheart Dorothea in 1989..."We’re living on a prayer and we want you to come lay your hands on me and walk me down the aisle!"

Delic was not sure Bon Jovi would show up until she got a call on Saturday while she was getting her hair and makeup done..."I dropped the phone and said, 'Get me in that dress now'...You have never seen a bride get ready so quickly.''

Bon Jovi later tweeted a photo of the two of them walking down the aisle, Delic only barely able to contain herself...along with this message: "Congratulations @branksd! May you & Gonzalo have a lifetime of happiness, love & memories together - ALWAYS!"

There's no way that I'd have a member of Bon Jovi at my wedding -- they'd be prettier than the bride!

I would love to have JBJ at my wedding - that lucky woman!

Indeed. Nothing is quite as auspicious for a marriage like having some aging, irrelevant pop-rock star, who has no connection with the couple whatsoever, to be the highlight of the bride's day.

Really? You're going to piss on even this?

"I do solemnly vow to take this man...uh, I mean, this OTHER man, in holy -- HOLY SHIT, I'M STANDING RIGHT NEXT TO JON BON JOVI!!! I mean, I vow to take this man -- whose name escapes me at the moment -- in holy matrimony, as my lawfully wedded...pardon me, reverend, but do I HAVE to leave here with the same guy I came in with???"

Well it's lame, and it's a slow Sunday, and things are pretty much dead in Jovi World otherwise.

They got Jon simply because they were "Jersey" enough to bother to ask: they could just as easily have said, "The odds are so against him saying yes, WHY bother asking?" They're worthy of admiration for that reason alone.

And here's a fan who dared to insist on kissing Dave instead of "settling" for Jon:

She died in her sleep last year. But I still admire her.

Nah, you're lame and after this, dead in Jovi World.

It's a great story and a great touch by Jon. He didn't have to do it, but he did it anyway. It just goes to show that you won't win if you don't buy the ticket.

It's not like he really went out of his way though - she just timed her wedding to be while the band were in Vegas.
Personally think it just adds to the tackiness of getting married in Vegas in the first place........

Hundreds and thousands of people get married in Vegas every year. It wouldn't be my choice, but I wouldn't blame anyone for doing it, given the extortionate prices of a wedding these days. It's just a nice random thing to do
