i hope you are right and after this tragic tour ends they come to terms and work together...this album and tour was a trainwreck...who would have thought that after everything they passed together that would be their 30 years celebration...
i know, or at least hope that jon places higher richie and aknowledges his contribution but how come he gives bobby so much space? why he hired phil x for a band recording??? ok, maybe richie wasnt professional but still you cant replace your guitarist like that...and afterwards release it...maybe thats why evrything the band releases last 4-5 years tanks...no soul, no time, just the same chord proggression and bad written lyrics...in this day and age noone expects from bj to redefine rock, but they lose fans with every release because people lost faith...instead of manufactured simplistic songs if they put some effort in there people would embrace it...they may still didnt get a hit single but there would be some songs with some substance...
ps, bj's brilliance was simple songs, done so good, with great melodies and harmonies that convinced everyone there was put too much effort and thought, take for example wanted or these days, simple musically compisitions but masterpieces imo, and then take anything from the last records...i dont expect another wanted, just some songs that mean sth and arent just an excuse to tour again...

What was so special than they prepared for the 17th show?

Jon creating false expectations again for sell more tickets.

Pathetic.

i dont get why people are knocking this tour. The majority of people i've spoken to on here and elsewhere that have been to shows say that the shows have been very good. The energy has been high and the band have put on shows that have been up there and better than a lot of 2011 shows. Setlist aside - they cant be as diverse as they would like due to lack of Richie - the shows have been pretty darn good.

Its the usual moaners that are bringing things down. In my humble opinion.

Being so harsh to an individual purely on the basis of rumours and speculation is unfair.

Hold on a minute here, im not saying this is purely Richie's fault. At this point i could care less who's fault it is.

BON JOVI is on tour and Richie is an original member and an integral part of why we're on this message board to begin with. Alcohol? a damn shame. Personal "issues"? Not for me to judge. But at this point RS is just fine and playing at a damn horse race. Its a slap in the face to every one that paid to see BON JOVI (the band) in concert.

Not everybody is on these message boards, but casuals that went to a show yesterday went to see the band and say "Where's Richie Sambora?" and wake up today to find out he played at a horse race, alone.

Blame whoever you want for this, in my mind at this point there's no justifiable reason for him to miss this tour. When he was in complete silence that's one thing, this is another. He's clearly fine. When this broke everybody was worried about his health and his family's health.

It's been said before, there's a Bon Jovi world tour going on and he isnt there, unless they give me a damn good reason why its a slap in the face to the fans.

Here are the facts, RS isnt on tour. The band is, and Richie is playing a horse race. Forgive me for being upset.

It's a pretty good point...

Is a very simplistic and naive reasoning. "Richie is out, he is the villain", but Not so. He is not on the tour, because it has a dispute with Jon. So as you can not return to the tour, do things, you might like or not, but he is not rejecting the tour for a horse race. Richie can not be on the road, there is no agreement between him and Jon (The CEO), so he does other things and get on with your life.

When finish the tour, see what happens.

They have 3 shows left for North America: Philly is Tuesday, Raleigh, NC is Wednesday and Montreal is Friday. Then off to Japan and Australia and THEN it's done, lol!

We need a rarities box set to celebrate the 30th anniversary. I do not wanna live songs from this curse tour. There are too many streaming, and all are similar.

Where did i call (or refer to) Richie the villain?

As I said before, i dont care who is at fault anymore. There is a reason he isnt on tour and in my opinion it isnt a good enough reason to justify him not being there.

Im allowed to be pissed without assigning blame to either side.
