I had two friends there and I know Always was played but they didn't say anything else other than that the show was really good.

Same here - I heard rave reviews on it from my friend there. Now I almost wish I had driven up for it (3 hours each way)

Sad state of affairs when nobody who actually went bothers to talk about it on here.

bjcrazycpa 11-07-2013 09:13 PM

The two friends I know that went wouldn't post on a message board ever...lol!

I went. Was pretty awesome. Certain songs killed the crowd. The acoustic set was pretty good. Jon got the crowd into it and you could tell he was having fun. I wanted to see Always so badly as I had tickets to Charlotte with my Ex but we didnt go.

They end Encore 1 with Prayer(they opened it acoustic), then afterward, band intro etc. The crowd was going NUTS and Jon goes "ok, 1 more lets do one more". Kicked into Always and I lost it.

I HATE people who sit down, even during slower songs like, its a concert WTF, half of my section was sitting down, even though Jon's voice was really solid tonight. Highlights were:

Born To Be My Baby
Always
IBTFY
Prayer

great performances of those songs for sure.

SIBSN was acoustic, wish it was electric, but it was still a good performance. Jon signed a fans poster mid Make a Memory

I love Lost Highway and I like Whole Lot of Leaving, but they CANNOT play those 2 after Runaway, lost the crowd. I dont like BWC live, What About Now should have gone over better I thought, but I dont think it got much airplay here. Hell BWC didnt either.

Who Says was actually recieved well. We Got It Goin On, i really dont like, but Jon got the crowd into it, so in that regards it was good. WWBTF also was not recieved well. That and BWC were kind of weak, I thought. But having ISWID after WWBTF worked really well.

I LOVED the Encore. STRONG

Totally.

Much better atmosphere if there is arena floor standing. No chairs in the way, and you can move about to avoid drunken idiots who talk loudly over the music.

Set list wise, was this the most static leg of a BJ tour ever?

Not the greatest quality videos, but here you go.

I'll Be There For You:

Always (shot from a distance, but decent audio):

I think about the same number of songs as the Bounce tour. Except, the Bounce tour had a better more energetic list of songs.....

Better than Philly, but still cringe worthy.

rolo_tomachi 11-08-2013 07:45 PM

Jon should end with I Love This Town again and forget Always, at least his voice was not painful. :(

Nah, the leg Phil played with the band in 2011 was more static.
