Is the car stage not on the Australia and Japan leg?

Japan is indoors and they moreover never seem to get the real tour stage (always some stripped-down standard sort of thing...). Australia may get it...

I think both the Osaka and Tokyo Dome are big enough to get the full stadium production (in 2010 they brought the full Circle stage to Japan), probably it just costs too much..

About Australia, I'm 100% sure the Buick will be there, except for Perth and Sydney #2 for obvious reasons.

Thierry just attended my on Jon's flawless performance during this show. Told me have a look at youTube and I was blown away...But not really.

This is hands down the worst vocal performance Jon's ever given during a concert. Out of key for entire songs, relying on backing vocals for even the supposedly easy parts and flat and nasal all the way through.

Even Bobby's guitar solo is more in tune. :(

Holy jesus , that was horrible . Surely he has a cold .

The sound quality of this video is so bad, I can't even hear Jon's voice clearly enough to make out the lyrics most of the time let alone to tell if he sings on key or not.


For the Lemma fans a good video of David singing In these Arms (complete!) last night. The man clearly still has passion for the music and his job in him the way he is performing, just great! And his voice is in great, too!

There's massive distortion on the audio so you can't tell if his vocals are shot or not!

The song is already a full step down and even David doesn't sing the high notes? What's wrong with this band?

Guys like I said a few times before, this band is done. They are still playing for the money not the passion.

Jon's voice sucks so hard nowadays. Poor Phil X!

That's not because of the sound quality of the video but because Jon is either not articulating properly or just not singing at all and letting the backing vocals do all the work. If you can't hear Jon, it's because he's not singing. It's not the distortion.

But yeah, let's bring up the "he's got a cold" excuse again. I honestly don't know anyone who's got a cold as often as Jon does.

He does look like he's a got a red nose on some of the vids, but most of them aren't as bad as you say. For example a snippet of Runaway, which was near the end of the show:

Though Seb is right, in some songs (especially HAND) Jon's skipping notes and singing in a lower (and some times out of) key. Seems like a bit of a mixed bag to me...

The awful quality of the recording makes that unlistenable - you can't judge anything on that video!

This is just typical lazy Jon when it comes to vocal exercise. First full show for a few weeks and no practice imo. I get that he works his but off but I would prefer less shows with more quality.

This band is already imploding. We are now in danger of having a once fantastic live band turn into a joke. A cash paying audience deserves a top quality show. Do less shows if you can't hack it but dont ever give substandard performance.

Are we going to blame Jon's lack of energy and standing still at the mic on the video's distortion too? He's motionless.

Here's a better quality version of HAND. It's hard to argue with Seb's assertion that this is the worst ever performance from Jon. The second verse and pre-chorus are proof of this. He's practically mumbling.

Having looked at this one I gotta actually say that it looks like he is struggling with some sort of sinus issues. At 2:44 of this clip it appears he takes something out of his mouth. Probably some sort of lozenge or maybe eucalyptus gum...deffo not right is he. And yes. Worse vocal performance ever. Mitigating circumstances? Probably.

When I saw this performance, I saw this disaster coming. His vocals during this acoustic Prayer rendition are awful.

I can't see anything wrong with the vocals there - sounds pretty good to me. The vocals from today's show do not for the most part though... I think he's got a cold or something, shit happens...

This has got to be the longest cold ever. He sounded bad for the whole tour (with very few exceptions).

He's motionless because he knows how much his performance is sucking. He may not admit to it in interviews and such but, He's not stupid he's aware. Heck, my grandma doesn't listen to Bon Jovi and I think she's even aware how much that sucked!!!

Who knows but in the pictures of him arriving in Japan, he had something similar in his mouth too. I presumed gum but now you could be right.

He seemed to have more energy than during HAND but he stood at the mic the whole time during You Give Love a Bad Name too. :rolleyes:

At the beginning of the guitar solo is the girl screaming "RICHIE! RICHIE!"? 10:03 LOL

His nose is definitely red (although he looked fine a few days ago with Prince William). It's tough to watch that performance - Jon's hanging onto the microphone for dear life.

He does keep some kind of red rectangular lozenges in his "goodie box" by the drum kit. I snapped a pic when I did the backstage tour this year.

Every time they go to Japan they seem to pick up colds and put in some dreadful vocal performances.

If that is the excuse (I've yet to see the video), they really should be able to sort that out by now, by maybe travelling earlier and acclimatising. Can;t just keep going to a country and go "Sorry got a cold" every single tour.

Jet lag seems to be a problem also. And they still get there on the same day sometimes even hours before showtime. It doesn't make any sense....

At what point will someone pull Jon aside and say "Look man. You gotta face the facts. Either you get a new vocal coach and work this shit out, or you gotta hang it up. You sound terrible."
