December 15th, 2013 - Sydney Entertainment Centre - Sydney, Australia
The second show in Sydney for the Because We Can Tour. This show was added in November and due to a lack of interest and extortionate ticket prices has sold poorly.

The setlist from the 14/12/2013 was: 1. THATS WHAT THE WATER MADE ME 2. YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME 3. RAISE YOUR HANDS 4. LOST HIGHWAY 5. WHOLE LOT OF LEAVIN' 6. 3 (and expecting another) songs from The Circle and no sign of Water in the setlist, YET. I guess H2O will open the encore. |
Well.... Could be interesting.

Who Says You Can't Go Home 18. Wanted Dead Or Alive 19. I'll Sleep When I'm Dead 20. Livin' On A Prayer Encore: 21. I'll Be There For You It's as if, apart from Love's The Only Rule, Jon deliberately filled the first half of the show with either songs he only seems to care for, or are just mandatory songs. I'm sure there'll be some better songs coming up later, but so far the original main set is actually better than the one filled with the "surprises". Salaam Aleikum, Sebastiaan |
It's keeping things interesting. I'd like to hear what Beautiful was like as an opener. I always thought it would be great opening an encore, but then discovered it wasn't.
|
Is this the first time that "Water" was dropped? In case they donīt play it in the encore

If this is all this was a really short show. Interesting mix ups.

That said, I still think it's interesting, I would have enjoyed this show since it is so different. Mohegan Sun in 2011 comes to mind. |
They have just done Run Run Rudolph and so This Is Christmas

These Days!
|
Always.
Listening over the phone, but Jon sounds like he is really struggling with it. I may be wrong and it may just be the feedback, background noise etc. Otherwise he sounded good from what I heard on the other songs. |
Awesome concert, better than last night. 98% full. Crowd really got into it.
|
Most surreal Jovi show of the 8 I've attended. Seemed like JBJ decided to let loose a bit. Crowd around is were sitting a lot and lost during the fighter/thick as thieves part but generally a decent crowd.
Finally heard These Days which I videoed and will upload soon. Merry Xmas was surreal. I have no idea who the choir was. |

Just got back from the show that i had no intention of attending and WOW.
What a brilliant performance from the boys. Jbj was on fire. The opener when we were beautiful was great but Loves the only rule set the tone for the night. It was loud and jbj was all over the place. His vocalz were pretty good but he did struggle at times. The set list was great but working man and capt crash altho well recieved i could do without. Sleep when im dead sounded great and prayer as usual did what it alwas does. The xmas songs were bullshit and have a nice day or in these arms wouldve ripped the joint apart but in the end it was a terrific show. These days and Always were a struggle but i was proud of jbj tonight.Phil x is terrific and if sambora doesnt come back well so be it.8 out of ten tonight but this performance was a heap better than the last time i saw them.Well done |

he didn't sing well, but i sounded better: his voice seems more thin than usual
|
That performance of These Days was surprisingly decent. The Always performance is better than recent attempts as well, though dear god is he ever clutching at that mic.

Jon Bon Jovi Vocal Range
Vocal Type: Low Tenor Vocal Range: D2-G#6 4 octaves, 3 notes, 2 semitonesVocal Pulse: His raspy, powerful singing is known all over the world, and his high notes keep getting praise and acclaim. Jon started out as a standard tenor but his voice quickly lowered into low tenor voice which it has been for the rest of his career. Jon uses really chesty and powerful high note technique and also owns quite strong low register for a low tenor. During 80's and 90's his voice was at the top of it's game but during the beginning of 00's it started to wear out. Vocal Weknesses: Upper register can sound too much bothering ONCE UPON TIME,LONG LONG TIME AGO HEHEHE |
My video of Happy Xmas (War is Over) with the choir....
I missed the start because I was somewhat shocked and confused. |
Love seeing that setlist. Man, that's the variety I'm, and most of us, are looking for. Obviously I don't want them playing certain songs he inserted every night but it's good to keep rotating them through instead of the same old same old they had been delivering.
