The Bandiera Songs

Has anyone ever sat down and made a list of all the songs Bobby has played on? Band recordings only. I was just listening to the box set version of Temptation and it's clearly him.

What I'm sure is him playing and singing:

Gimme Some
I don't want to live forever
Hush
Stay
You can't lose at love
Richie said he played on TLFR
These Arms are Open All Night
Thief of Hearts
Crazy Love
Kidnap an Angel
Temptation
River Runs Dry
I Get A Rush
Last Man Standing (TLFR version)
Last Chance Train
Rich Man living in a poor mans house
Shut up and kiss me
Wildflower

I have a sneaking suspicion he played on the 4 "new" tracks added to HAND last minute (Novocaine, Last Cigarette, Wildflower, Story of My Life). Truthfully outside is covered with snow and I'm bored inside.

Last Chance Train is Joe Perry on guitar.

I think some of them are Richie for sure, unless of course you actually know then I am obviously wrong. I havenīt listened to I Donīt Want to Live Forever in a long time but I remember a solo that I would say is Richie, while Story of My Life I would put has him too. A few of the others you listed could be either way, but anyway itīs a good thread and I would like to know for sure as well.

Right, but I'm not necessarily talking about solos only. While it's clear Richie is doing the solos on What About Now, I wouldn't be shocked if Shanks did the rest of the guitars for instance.

I think Joe Perry is credited with just the solo as I'm fairly sure it's a Jon solo track.

Well friend, so there is no way of knowing who play here and there, could have done to Jon itself, plus many of these songs, were unfinished demos.

There is a video on youtube, date 2004, Bobby and Jon recording some guitar tracks for the box set songs, that were not completed when they were first recorded.

True enough. There's video footage of them recording overdubs for River Runs Dry and I Get a Rush so it makes you wonder what else was added after the fact. A few years ago I noticed Jeff Kazee was credited as playing on the box set so I sent him a message asking if he added keyboards after the fact, which he confirmed, but wasn't able to remember what he played on.

I've always wondered what Obie was talking about "The thing with the football" in that video. I wonder if Rumble in the House was considered for the box set and it came between one or the other?

I do not know, there are so many songs I would have liked to include in the box set. As "Gimme Some", I love this song, I do not care if Richie or Bobby played the guitar solo, I just really like it, but for some reason was not included in the box set. That song was launched as unreleased song from American XS Platinum, and it's a shame, because I preferred to have it on disc (high quality).

Agreed, I'd love to have that in higher quality. For the record it's an out take from Sex Sells so it's just Jon and his backing band. Still, it's a great song.

I Thought that Sex Sells was going to be a Bon Jovi album.
