GOO GOO DOLLS will be special guest

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA – Credited with expanding the audience for the late ‘80’s-style of “pop metal” with their trademark tight leather pants and big hair, Bon Jovi has transformed its music style as well as its image over the last decade. Lead singer and guitarist, Jon Bon Jovi, joins guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan, and drummer Tico Torres to form the world-renowned rock band.

Having sold more than 25 million records, Bon Jovi has topped the charts with hits such as “You Give Love a Bad Name,” “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “Shot Through the Heart,” “Wanted Dead or Alive,” “Blaze of Glory,” “Bed of Roses,” “Lie to Me,” and “It’s My Life.”

With 8 studio albums recorded, Bon Jovi continues to prove its ability to speak to generations. Their release of Crush in June 2000 earned the band two Grammy nominations, and their latest album, Bounce, spends its third week on the Billboard Charts, peaking at No. 2.

Joining Bon Jovi on tour are chart topping Buffalo natives, the Goo Goo Dolls. After the release of their first album in 1987, the band quickly built up a local fan base; it was not long before the group began attracting the attention of major record labels. The Goo Goo Dolls signed with Warner Brothers, and in 1991 began some heavy-duty touring in support of their third full-length release, Hold Me Up.

The band released its fifth album, A Boy Named Goo, in 1995. The CD created a buzz in the music world, as the group’s breakthrough album was certified double platinum, and included the band’s first hit ballad, “Name”. The Goo Goo Dolls have continued their success with such hits as “Iris,” “Slide,” and “Here Is Gone” from the group’s 2002 album, Gutterflower.
