sebastian bach

Well... since many people here like old skid row...Now Skid Row is without Bach ..how do you feel about it ?

I don't know Skid Row has new albums or not ?

And any news on sebastian bach? I only know his not-well-known album "Bring 'Em Bach Alive [LIVE]"...albumn..afterwards, no news...

btw, you can view the CD info at amazon here.. Sebastian Bach - Bring Em Bach Alive - Amazon.com... Sebastian Bach - Bring Em Bach Alive - Amazon.com...

{_Warrior_} 01-22-2003 01:58 PM

Yeah, the old skid row with Sebastan was great.
Now, they´re releasing a new album called Thick is the skin, the same name as the first single, with the new vocal (Jonh Solinger, I think) and the new drum.

About Sebastian, ins´t he on Broadway ?
I think so, in the "Jesus superstar", something like that

Mike McRock 01-22-2003 03:32 PM

Yeah, he's playing Jesus. Bare in mind that this is the part origenally recorded by Ian Gillan, so it's certainly a challenging part, and it does rock. I put this in another post, but it really diserves another mension. They were woried Seb wouldn't be able to get Gillan's high notes, but Seb said, it's ok, i'll just go into my higher scream register. It was something like that, the story's not important, it's the fact that he has a higher scream register!!!!!!

I can't see Skid Row being that good without Sebastican Bach, I just don't htink it woudl work. They were never great musicians, never had brilliant songs (or at least not consistently), and he really was the driving element of the band.

letitrock 01-22-2003 03:34 PM

he was the youth gone wild!

jovigirl33 01-22-2003 05:05 PM

Sebastion also did Dr jeckyl and mr Hyde.

www.skidrowonline.com I believe this sit has new single also a picture of jon and richie with skid row.

letitrock 01-22-2003 05:57 PM

i know - would have been cool to see...

apparently he bit the head off of a rose a lady in front row gave him to say "yes, i'm in a west end show... but I'm still Sebastian Bach."

he's done some pretty dodgy things but i just love his carefree attitude with life

letitrock 01-22-2003 10:04 PM

he is yeh - but because the UK is so crap and Europe for getting real talent to our theatres and arenas we'll never see him unless he opens for someone like BJ - which ain't gonna happen, because he would upstage them...

in 1989 bon jovi were able to avoid being upstaged just because of how good they were then, nowadays....

Mike McRock 01-23-2003 02:41 AM

True: Just think how bad Bon Jovi would have to be to be upstaged by Ronana Keeting!!!!!! Wait, no that's impossiabe, nothing could be worse than a boy band! Jesus, this isn't even a boy band, it's just a boy, he doesn't ahve a band anymore!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I'll never get to see Seb Bach in England, that's why I intend to start going to the States to see concerts. I really shouldn't have to, but if you want to see bands like The Scorpions, Bach e.t.c, you have to travil to other countries. What is wrong with the promoters over here? I saw Frank Marino late last year (twice). Those were his first shows over here for 20 years, and he was amazing. It's a crime that we don't get to see guys like him regularly.... Where are people like Eric Johnson..... England is good for English bands, like Wakeman, Manfred Mann, Wishbone Ash, because they can do the smaller gigs, but we just dont get any good club band coming in.

LetItRock2003 01-23-2003 03:35 AM

Thank you everyone for clarifying me.. Apparently, I have downloaded "Thick Is The Skin" (Thanks to Warrior) from the web..

But i didn't hear any news about Bach's solo album..that's why i am asking..

Now seems like he is enjoying his life in broadway

jess 01-23-2003 04:57 PM

No more than BJ, RS, DB did in the 80s no!

Specifically look at Richie in the sleeve of "Bon Jovi" 1984

... anyway most rock stars do - on the basis they have long hair

Mike McRock 01-23-2003 05:33 PM

No, Seb doesn't look like a woman, he looks like a rocker....

MAKE THE DISTINCTION!!!!!!!!!!!!

jess 01-23-2003 05:59 PM

Jon and co in the 80, it's really more than OK for me

But bach, now or 15 years ago, even for 10 millions of euros, i couldn't do anything with this "man" ~ maybe you think a woman can't make the distinction ... but you're wrong totally wrong :)

Mike McRock 01-23-2003 08:26 PM

No, it's just a phrase I use a lot. I want people to be able to make the distinction between a long haired rocker and a woman. This difference may seem only subtle, but in reality it's the complete oposite scale, a rocker is at the top of the masculinity scale. In the same way that a rock chick is at the top of the sexey scale.... It's like, who's the most masculine: Bruce Willis with all his muscles and skin head, who holds down long relationships, and is probably pretty monogomous. Or Sebastian Bach, who is a long haired rocker, has his own rock band, and who would have been sleeping in the 80's with more women in one day that Willis would in a year!!!!!

I know which one I think rocks the most, who I respect the most.....

Sebastian Bach is a god to me, standing for everything that rocks.....
Richie was wrong, God isn't a woman, he's a long haired rocker....Richie needs to make the distinction!!!!!

jess 01-23-2003 10:06 PM

oh tell me please ... 'in the same way a rock chick is at the top of the sexey scale" tell me : is it positive or negative, i need to know :?

Mike McRock 01-24-2003 01:57 AM

Deffinately positive

I think there is something particuarly special about a rock chick for a rocker. It's just one of those things that really does apeal to me. Maybe this is largely because they'd like the same sort of music I do, and I've never met a girl who likes teh same sort of music as I do before, so I'd actually have something to talk to her about!!!!! Also, the tight leathers, and extremely long hair count for a lot!

Incidently, if you need to know, does this imply that you are yourself a rock chick? Please tell me, I need to know 8)

jess 01-24-2003 10:11 AM

All i can say is that my husband used to call me like that (and his friends) since 10 years ... :?

hellmanfrommars 01-24-2003 10:18 AM

letitrock 01-24-2003 02:09 PM

listen to some of those screams!

specifically if anyone has ever seen the end of Rock n roll from Moscow 89 or Wild Thing jam from New Jersey 89

I agree, but I really wouldn't say those screams are actually any better. 'Cos the guy just rocks all the time, it's like 'how much more rocking could he get', and the answer is..... Non!!!!

He just screams all the time, and I'd deffinately say those screams are great, but then you start to think about the other screams, and realise he just does it that great evertime :D

RockerFan 04-28-2004 04:46 PM

SEBASTIAN RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jenn1189 04-29-2004 01:39 AM

Sebastian Bach now plays a small recurring role on the TV show The Gilmore Girls. He plays the lead singer in a local band...big stretch for him there. LOL.

Javier 04-29-2004 02:52 AM

YEAH!!!!!! The Gilmore Girls are SO SO ROCK N ROLL!!!!!
WHOOOHOOOO!!!!

by the way the guy is sso lazy musically that I just don't see his solo carrer taking off.
HE never really did any reall writing on the Skids and basically all the interviews he's done since Skid Row broke up he's always bitchin, bitchin.
Annoying really.
