Are These The Best Audio Enhansements?

So I stumbled upon these the other day and compared them to some of the other versions out there and to the ones I already have.

Unfortunately, I can't tell if these are better or not. Could someone with a good ear take a listen and tell me if they are improved well or not?

It's my goal to collect all these types of songs with the best possible sound.

Cadillac Man - Sounds Better

Life's Too Short - I've heard better

Sounds a little better for me. I love Cadillac Man, though it looks a bit like Brilliant Disguise by Springsteen, but I do not care.

Why don't people just settle for the live recording from Osaka 1991 which features Cadillac Man and is lightyears ahead of the other one quality wise?!

Having said that, I absolutely don't like the sound of this remaster (Cadillac Man, the other one is nice) since it's way too thin and metallic (just boosting the high frequencies for more and more clarity isn't always the solution to everything).

The performance of Hammersmith Odeon is better, more emotional. In Osaka there was some disconnection between Jon and Richie, and is not special.

Is there an enhanced version from Hammersmith that someone could send me via PM? I probably even have it but like I said, lack an ear for it.

Cadillac man sounds as tinny as ever to me ..... But listening to it again just reminded me how much i love the song ..... Far out, it could nearly be my fave . I would kill to hear studio or a decent live version . Maybe a studio version would spoil it and take something away from it ..... God knows ... We will never know .

This is why I appreciate this board. Even though I have no idea what this means, I always get good answers. And the same to the other answers above.

I currenly have all three versions now. For some reason Red Bank is my fav.

However I have a master collection that contains all Studio / Soundboard songs. My only exceptions are songs like these and a few others. The Soul Truth etc....

I currently use Hammersmith as my master of choice but I'm not sure if i have the best cleaned up version. I thought this posted version might be better but they just sound different so I can't tell.

I still think she's some sort of spam bot.

I think you are correct Dominik - I don't bother answering her (it). I also have to agree with you as to Cadillac Man. I think the Osaka 91 version is by far and away the best. And it was amenable to being cleaned up and enhanced in Audition.
